What a great place to relax in! This spacious, peaceful home with a lush, cool yard is secluded but has easy access to the MANY attractions in the area.
We stayed here for 5 nights with 1-3 adult children and found it to be the perfect solution- space be together but still have privacy if you wanted to be alone. It would also be a great house for entertaining.
Owner was very accommodating when discussing price and also answered questions right away before our arrival. After arrival, owner was alerted of some things and took care of what she could right away.
Internet connection was available at the house.
We only used the main house, but there is also a guest house on the property that can sleep 4, though it isn't 2 totally separate rooms. It would be good for a young family.
We showed the house to as many people as we could and recommended it to everyone who might need a lot of space. It had some features that would make it comfortable for people with certain disabilities also.
We enjoyed the wildlife- saw several skunks every evening, coyote, bats, blue heron, night hawks and even a scarlet tanager.
ON THE DOWN SIDE:
We were disappointed that the hot tub was not working and we hadn't been told of it before arrival.
House and property seemed well maintained and clean, but master shower looked like it had been forgotten. I had brought my own cleaner, but there was also some at the house.
Though the property is secluded, someone unfortunately built a home RIGHT behind this house. There are privacy measures but their dog barked often at anyone on the partially shared drive and the several children that seemed to live there liked to have screaming contests in the evening when we sat outside. Luckily, they didn't last too long and it was mostly very quiet.
We were disappointed that we would have needed a machete to get to the river! Even though we had brought fishing rods, it wasn't worth the effort to get to the river, plus we were wary of what other wildlife we might encounter on the way!
In all, we would definitely stay here again if we ever need that much space when in the Cottonwood / Sedona area. It was much more comfortable and relaxing than a couple hotel rooms would have been!!! I wish I could move this great house and beautiful trees to my OWN yard!
