This house has 4 rooms, kitchen, bathroom, WC, laundry room and living room. Nice private garden. Located in a small private street in a small town in South Iceland. Walking distance to large out-and-indoor swimming pool. Also walking distance to shops and restaurants. Short driving distance to many of Iceland´s beautiful attractions and Iceland´s capital Reykjavík (ca. 50 km).This house and the location is a great opportunity for a excellent holiday in Iceland. The South of Iceland is unique and that part of the country has by far the greatest numbers of foreign visitors. Everything that makes Iceland interesting to visit can be found in the south all year around. Here history follows you at every footstep, both ancient and recent. There is creative art, culture and flourishing trade and endless possibilities to enjoy the outdoor life in all seasons. Above all there is the awesome and rugged nature from the mountains to the sea.

Selfoss area: Selfoss town is only 57 km from Reykjavík and is the center of communications and services in South Iceland. The population is in excess of four thousand people, but it serves over ten thousand people in all around southern countryside. There is entertainment in surroundings like horse riding, river rafting, fishing, glacier tour, golf, jet ski, visit museums and a lot more. Swimming in the Selfoss swimming pools in south Iceland is great, there are also great places to take walking tours around Iceland's most famous tourist places. Horseback riding on the Icelandic horse is a unique experience. Sightseeing flights over the south of Iceland end even further is a one time experience. The Icelandic rivers and lakes are known for their pure water and great salmon & trout fishing. If you do not like fishing there is always sailing on kayaks or boats. Jeep safaris in Iceland are fast growing tourist attractions and there is nothing like experiencing the Icelandic nature.

Great accommodation - a real family house in a pleasant, friendly
residential neighborhood, rather than "holiday" accommodation.

Excellent facilities - the house is well equipped and in walking
distance of the shops, cafes and heated outdoor town swimming pool (this is worth checking out - 2 separate main pools, 2 mini pools & water slide and heated pools up to 42C).

Excellent location - Reykjavik & the Blue Lagoon to the west - Gulfoss,
Geysir & Pingvelir (the location of the old Government to the north -
take the park guide tour!) - Vatnajokull glacial lake & Seljalandsfoss
watrefall to the east. Hveragerdi geo-thermal power station is worth a
visit! "

It is right that the house is in a good neighborhood. It is nice to stay in a residential neighborhood on vacation, we tried it our self in France and USA and loved it.
