More Info on Condo Amenities:
The condo has a full kitchen with all appliances, incl a dishwasher. All pots and pans for cooking are included, as is a full set of dishes and cutlery. The stove has a gas cooktop, and a combo gas/electric oven. The refrigerator has purified water and ice directly accessed from the freezer door. We have a water purification system on the kitchen sink cold water tap, and this extends also to the refrigerator. On our deck there is a propane gas BBQ. All towels and linens are provided, including 6 large beach towels. We have black out blinds in each bedroom should you wish to use them, also sun filtering blinds, which block the strong rays of the sun, while still allowing you to see the view. A small programable safe is in one of the bedroom closets. We have a Welcome Binder in our unit which provides lots of information for you - hints on appliance operation, facts about our complex, recommended restaurants and activities in the area, emergency contacts, etc.
Info on Punta Esmeralda:
Punta Esmeralda is a quiet, spacious, well maintained, secure, top of the line complex. There are 8 swimming pools available for guest use, plus the beach with available chairs & umbrellas, a day restaurant, gym, tennis courts, day spa, and a common palapa area with wireless & small reading library. There are walking paths, lots of green areas with trees, shrubs and flowering plants, and even a small swing set for children. The grounds and pools are immaculately maintained. The design layout and features are equivalent to that found in any five star resort. There is a controlled access entrance to the complex, and 24 hour security.
Transportation & Things to Do:
Taxis are very often parked just outside of the security gate/entrance, and if not, the security guard will call one for you. You can catch local buses in the same area. A bus to Bucerias costs 5 pesos (50 cents) and takes 5 minutes. A trip into Puerta Vallarta will set you back 12 pesos! It's a good way to absorb the local culture.
A cab from the Puerto Vallarta airport is about $400 pesos ($40 Canadian).
There are a number of great local restaurants, both in Bucerias on one side of us, and in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle on the other side. Both of these small towns are 20 minutes away along the beach in either direction or 5 minutes drive. Check the Welcome Binder in our condo for restaurants that we like and would recommend. For those large shopping trips, there is the Mega just on the highway towards P Vallarta (about 10 minutes drive). For fresh fish, you can't beat the local little fish market shops right in Bucerias.
