Nice, but....

Nice place but be certain to inspect everything inside AND out on arrival and report it IMEDIATELY We were charged for damage to a closet door we never used and a missing light outside we never even saw. After two failed attempts to contact the owners to question the charges, we received an e-mail stating "that's what deposits are for " and asking us to "stop harassing us" Good Luck with your stay
Owner's Response: Wherever you are planning to stay when you go on vacation you will be asked to read and sign a rental agreement. If you choose not to follow all of the rules and policies outlined in the rental agreement you may end up being held accountable for something you did not do. We have made a substantial investment in this property and when we find that a renter has not lived up to the rental agreement they will be held responsible. We have had a great 2009 rental season and we have returned every deposit until this renter. We were very fair in the assesment of the damage and only held 15 percent of the deposit which will not cover the replacement cost. The real quote in the email is "This is the reason why rental agreements are required." Unfortunately there are people in the world who do not feel that they have to live by any of societies rules or completely read agreements or emails. I guess one upset guest out of 17 this season speaks for itself.
