Relax in comfort in peaceful and beautiful Barnegat Light. This home is situated at the very northern end of Long Beach Island, adjacent to Barnegat Light State Park, and facing the protected dunes and ocean. The house has three bedrooms downstairs, each with two twins beds (you can turn them into kings). There is a full bath downstairs. A hall and doorway separate the three bedrooms from the open plan living room/dining room, and the kitchen. The living room has sliding glass doors that lead out to a deck with direct ocean views, and has a gas grill for making a delicious seafood dinner! Upstairs is the huge master bedroom and bath. There is a king bed, and an en-suite bathroom. The house was updated recently with new carpeting and Pergo flooring, central AC, new beds and mattresses, and many new furnishings. Renter to supply their own sheets and towels. Can be rented with listing 240833 next door for large families. Rentals are Saturday to Saturdays. Weekends may be possible.

More about Barnegat Light: Barnegat Light is located at the very Northern End of Long Beach Island, on the Jersey Shore. LBI is a barrier Island, 17 miles long, and a mile wide at the widest point. The town of Barnegat Light is 25 blocks long, and centers around a fishing community, and the famous Barnegat Light house. It's a very relaxing community, with beautiful wide beaches, fantastic life guards, and a small business area that you can walk to. There are several great restaurants and stores, a grocery store, a wonderful fish market, and a vegetable stand where you can find wonderful produce and fruit. It's a family friendly area, with a borough run tram that takes you to a secluded beach, a bay beach that's fenced in and shallow with a playground on site, and a great town playground and skateboard park.

Just Delightful!

Several friends and I stayed here the last weekend in May. We had a fabulous time! We were very impressed with the house. You never know what to expect when renting a property online, but we were so delighted when we arrived. The house is completely furnished (with lovely decorations and comfy furniture). It was also easy to locate using Mapquest. Becky, the property owner, was delightful to coordinate with. She answered all of my questions in a timely manner and was more than helpful in making me feel like we would enjoy our stay at the beach house. I would stay there again in a heartbeat (the entire group agreed that we would love to come back)! I don't have one negative thing to say about the whole experience...just delightful!

This was a wonderful location for a relaxing vacation. The home was clean on our arrival and had everything we needed to feel at home. The food and the customer service at area restaurants was excellent. We also enjoyed being able to walk to the deli for lunch and to the lighthouse. Becky was friendly and helpful in answering our questions. We have already recommended this location to family and friends.

I cannot imagine our summers without staying in this house. The kids love the privacy of their downstairs suite with the three bedrooms separated from the living room area, yet close enough. The upstairs suite is amazing, especially waking up to that incredible view.

The house has everything you need - perfectly equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, great grill, and a great open layout for entertaining.

The location is perfect for families with kids who don't want the Jersey Beach vacation filled with loud partying college kids. It's quiet, beautiful and very safe. Our kids woke up every morning and walked by themselves to the corner deli to get bagels for the whole family for breakfast. They were thrilled with feeling like grown-ups. Our favorite pastime was walking to the lighthouse, getting obligatory ice cream, and then walking back to the house through the beach and the dunes.

If you don't want to drive a car to the beach, there is a town jitney that stops very close to the house. We never used it because our kids were small and required too much paraphernalia, but we look forward to using it in the future. If you do want to drive to the beach, there is never issue finding parking.

There are great family restaurants in town, fantastic little vegetable stand, and a bunch of upscale restaurants a short drive from home.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your review! We're so happy to have your family keep coming back every year! And this year - try the tram to the beach! It's a one minute walk from the house, and it's the perfect way to get to the beach IF you have a lot of stuff with you! There are places on the tram to put beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers, etc! And then there's no walking over the boardwalks at all! The tram is free with the beach badges that are included with the rental, and runs all day from 10:00 - 5:00 with a break for lunch.

Perfect Vacation House!!

We arrived and instantly felt relaxed! The kids enjoyed every minute we were there. The kids were so happy! Laughter filled the house and island. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our weekend getaway. The house was very comfortable. A perfect place to spend your vacation. The beds were comfortable. Everything is within walking distance so we never needed to get in the car. Shopping was great at Viking Village. The deli for morning coffee and paper was within walking distance so my husband can get it before we all woke up! We love this place!!!

You feel at home right away! Plenty of room, open, comfortable beds, large living room, upstairs bedroom is so spacious, the same size as the living room and dining room, with many windows and a small deck- great to sip coffee and watch the boats come out of the inlet, heading to the ocean. Once there, we put away the car keys and ride our bikes or walk everywhere. The place is at the top of the island, easy walk to the jetty and lighthouse, watch the fisherman and birds.
Events , fishing boats , restaurants in walking distance. Fresh fish, absolutely delicious- White Grocery- really good meats. Getty Gas has pretty much everything- from my favorite sorbet to hand embroidered purses
Very relaxing, old trees, active sand dunes, different birds, take long walks on beach, also take walks to see the different types of houses from the original beach houses to the newer ones.
We have been there in April, May, June, September and October and it has been quiet, cool and sunny. Definitely recommend this property!
