La Sienna is a beautifully furnished Guesthouse located on West 123rd Street in a sunny prewar brownstone. During the summer months our front entrance will greet you with a beautiful display of Rose trees, Lavendar and climbing Mandellas. In the fall you will be greeted with beautiful green foliage. Our lobby will peak your senses with our seasonally scented candles. We personally greet every guest that arrives and provide them with a clean and serene setting. Completely private yet we have a caretaker who will provide you with the upmost service. Our towels are soft and fluffy and our linens are soft and washed in a subtle lavender/ vanilla scented detergent. Our soft knitted blanket will remind you of Grandma. Each Guest will have their own key so they can come and go as they wish. La Sienna is very secure with a 24 hour security camera and we also have brochures to guide you in the right direction. We look forward to welcoming you into our Guesthouse.

Features: This studio has a southern exposure and is located on the first floor of a prewar brownstone with original details. The building is very clean, quiet and has a serene atmosphere. 10' high tin ceilings with a ceiling fan and 9' original mirror. Owner lives on the premises and we have an evening caretaker. We offer TIVO so you won't miss out on any of your favorite soap operas or TV shows. We offer free coffee, tea, goodies and fresh warm flavored cupcakes (you may be dreaming about them once you leave here). We are located two blocks away from the Apollo theatre and a few block from Sylvia's famous restaurant. 125th Street offers many shopping stores and street vendors along with the famous Clinton office located in the State Office Building. We are one stop from 59th Street Columbus Circle which has the most incredible shopping stores and restaurants in one mall. We are minutes from Central Park.

Rates and Availability: Due to the recession our rate has been reduced to $110 per night less if it is peak, off peak or a holiday. No hidden cost. $110 deposit is required to book studio which is done through Paypal and balance is due upon arrival.

Travel: We are located in the heart of Harlem. 10 min train ride (one stop) to 59th street Columbus Circle. 12 min to all major Broadway plays. Two blocks from the Apollo theater. South Street Seaport and the financial district is about 15-20 min away. La Guardia - The M60 bus (40 min ride) will take you from LaGuardia to West 125th. $2.00 per ride. JFK - The A train will take you to West 125th Street. $2.00 per ride. Newark - NJ transit approx $25 plus to 34th Street and NY subway ride to 125th Street. $2.00 per ride. Taxi - The taxi to all 3 airports average about $60 to $75 per ride. Car - Not necessary or convenient in New York City. Make sure you purchase a Weekly Unlimited Metrocard pass before you travel on any buses or subway. This will allow you to travel unlimited for one price. This will include fare to and from the airport. This is a major savings.

The place was nice, yvette was very nice and friendly. The place was very clean, overall Cool place, located near subway so easy access to what new york is about, yvette and manny were on-site for anything needed, Great place and affordable!

Just perfect

We have been here in May 2009 for our Honeymoon trip to the US. It was just perfect. Only 10 mins away from La Guardia. The property includes a warm welcome with self made muffins and a very obliging owner.

The studio was clean, quite and secure (NYPD station next to the house) with a large kitchen / floor and sleeping room.

The surrounding area was great with a laundry 2 mins away by walk, a nice restaurant for breakfast or dinner (Jimbos) and a grocery (great coffee for just $0.5 / cup). 125th subway station is 3 mins away (Express line, too - NYC Downtown arrival in less than 15 mins).

I can truly recommend this property as an appropiate and inexpensive accommodation for any NYC stay.

I stayed here for a week in June 2009 and really enjoyed it. The building and street is quiet and secure, and I loved the kitchen and good-sized bathroom that came with the room. The caramel muffins I got when I first checked in were also excellent! The closest train station, 125th street on the A/B/C/D line, was convenient for most NYC attractions, as well as JFK airport (about an hour away). The satellite dish TV provided all the entertainment I needed and the free wifi was also appreciated (if sometimes a bit slow).
