24'x14 deck with prep sink cold water, ceiling fans, stereo speakers, charcoal grill. Awesome view of lake from upstairs casement windows with fantastic breezes thoughout the home. Two televisions with cable, one in family room walkout and one in living room up. Great Bear has 2 lakes connected by very short channel, dam controlled lake level. We are 20-25 minutes from south haven, kalamazoo, paw paw, Good paved roads. Great Bear is a very scenic lake great fishing, boating, all sports lake-150 acres. Modern home built in 2000, fire place, family room walk out with stereo speakers to deck. Stereo in master bdrm, bath and kitchen. Public Boat launch 150 feet from house.Nice beach great for kids, docks make it easy to keep an eye on little ones and pets. Good neighbors. Kal-haven trail close by old railroad bed, Kalamazoo,- south haven Bike, hike, ski snowmobile 4' or more of snow. We get lake effect snow here big time, large drive for trailer and guests.

Kal-Haven Trail ( stretches from South Haven to Kalamazoo-biking, hiking, snow mobiling). 20-30 minuted Kalamazoo-Air Zoo-awesome indoor rides-sumulators, Portage Paw Paw- St. Julian Wine tasting, nice restaurants. Timber Ridge, Bittersweet ski lodges close by. Pontoon maybe available very nice with fish finder. This is a beautiful lake, very scenic and a lot of nice homes with great neighbors..

Several golf courses in the area. Jeptha Lake Golf Course, Bar, pub only 10 miles.

Ski: timber ridge gobles, 20-25 minutes away bitter sweet otsego 20-25 minutes

We stayed at the house for a week and what a great getaway place it was .The house was nice and clean ,view on the calm lake is outstanding .The owner and neighbors are really welcoming .Our kids had a blast in the lake tubing,kayaking ,paddle boating.If you need a place to forget about reality this is where you need to be . We see ourselves coming back to this place next year .

WOW WHAT A VIEW!!!!

This is the nicest cottage we've ever stayed in. Mark was extremely hospitable too. He brought us DVDs and offered a ride on the pontoon boat when we didn't want to rent it.
We have two dogs who absolutely love the water and the beach was perfect, sandy and at a perfect temperature. The living room view is not to be beat. I tried taking pictures but couldn't exactly capture the beauty from that room. There is ample space (including closets) and a great surround sound system. I would recommend this cottage to anyone.

We enjoyed our four days at this beautiful chalet. Everything was clean and well kept. Neighbors were friendly and Mark made sure we had everything we needed. We will be returning!

A Little Piece of Paradise

We spent a wonderful 4 days with our children and grandchildren. Everything you could ask for was there for us. Everything was neat, clean and decorated beautifully. Our grandchildren loved playing in the sand and we enjoyed spending a lot of our time on the large deck.

The owner was very accomodating and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed.

We just got home today and we are already anxious to return there next year!
