Available Year Round. Step back into the 1870's in this interesting, five generations owned, family homestead. Enjoy glistening floors and woodwork, original kitchen cupboards and appropriately decorated rooms. Imagine yourself living in yester-year. It is a truly unique experience. Climb the narrow stairs to two small but cozy bedrooms with one double bed, one single. Views of the bay, spectacular sunsets and New Hampshire's Mt. Washington are offered, weather permitting. Stroll the gardens while listening to the many varieties of song birds. Relax on the covered piazza, listen to the sea and take in the salt breezes while watching boats come and go. Linens and towels provided, as well as filtered water, coffee maker, toaster, microhood, stove, refrigerator, utensils, dishes, kettles and tableware. Living room: love seat, sofa, rocker, TV and radio. Gas grill, piazza w/furniture, clothes washer & dryer are provided. No smoking/ No pets.

The view from the cottage is of Harpswell Sound. Within walking distance South are Land's End, gift shop and Lobsterman's statue with water views. Nearby North on the island are the Pinnacle Rock, Giant Staircase and snack bar. Further along are a church, post office, general store and restaurant. At the North end of the island is Cook's Restaurant and Lobster with views of the sound and the famous Crib Stone Bridge. Harpswell is a working lobstering village with many coves and inlets to visit. Brunswick is the home of the Skolfield-Whittier, Harriet Beecher Stowe and Joshua Chamberlain museums as well as Bowdoin College. The town also offers many restaurants, malls and shops. Close by in Freeport are the famous L. L. Bean and many factory outlets.
