Further Details:
San Vincenzo combines natural beauty with the amenities of a welcoming, hospitable resort, making it an international tourist destination, where relaxing holidays can be enjoyed all year around. In April there is the Costa degli Etruschi Palio, where jockeys, representing the various Etruscan coastal towns, compete, in an exciting race held on the beach at San Vincenzo. During Palio week the town is in a festive mood with numerous other events taking place.
The sea and the beach:
The sea at San Vincenzo is crystal-clear and bordered by dense pinewoods and thick Mediterranean scrub; the splendid beach, with its fine, gold sand, stretches for many kilometers. Dotted along the coast are a number of lookouts and old fortifications, including the 14th century San Vincenzo’s Tower, which gave its name to the town and was once used to defend the coast against attacks by pirates. The limpid air and light sea breezes make aquatic sports even more enjoyable. Once a busy port of call for trade, the well-equipped harbour of San Vincenzo now has moorings for hundreds of leisure craft.
The wine street:
Val di Cornia DOC wines, togheter with those from Bolgheri, Montescudaio and Bibbona, are typical of the prestigious, quality wines produced along the Costa degli Etruschi. The extra-virgin olive oil produced by local growers, is also of excellent quality. Along the wine route are farmhouses, agricultural holdings and farm holiday centres, where local produces and gastronomic specialities such as game, fruits and vegetables, honey, grappa, salami, cured meats and cheeses, can be purches. A place of honour is reserved for the “Campiglia Schiaccia”, a cake with ancient origins which boasts the DOP (protected Origin) mark.

Football, Minigolf.
