Booking:
After initial inquiries, you should make your definite reservation quickly as reservations are first to book, first served. In order to book your stay, we will need an e-mail from you stating that you definitely want to book, where you state all the booking info. We will also need to know the estimated hour of arrival in Rome at the airport, train station or when you believe you will arrive by car, so that we can be there to greet you for check-in,and if possible, a cell phone number and e-mail that works in Italy. In case of delays, please inform us as soon as possible. After booking, we will confirm your booking and send you detailed tourist and city info for you to print out, read and bring with you to help make your stay in Rome more enjoyable.
Payment & Check-in/Check-out:
We prefer payment in cash in euros at check-in,.If there was a client the prior night, we need to clean 9 am-2pm, and check-in is from 2 pm onwards, if you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage after 9,30 am, and come back after 2pm for check-in. During check-in we give clients a tourist map and explain house, neighborhood and city information and answer any questions. We give our cell phone number for clients to call at any time. There is a detailed Minerva Home guest book with house and Rome info inside and also guide books on Rome for the use of clients.
Check-out is from 12am to 9 am on the day of departure,according to clients' travel plans, time to be arranged at booking, if possible. In the very rare case of serious damages occurring to the house or objects in it during clients' stay, they will be asked to pay a fair reimbursement.
Getting to Casa MInerva:
From the Fiumicino airport: Take the Leonardo Express train to the Termini train station, that departs every half hour from 6.36 am - 11.36 pm, or a taxi.
From the Ciampino airport: Take the bus to the Termini train station.
From the Termini Train Station, buy bus tickets at vending machines or at the tobacco shop in Termini where there is a big black sign with a capital 'T' in white. You can take the A01 or B01 bus and get off at the Principe Eugenio/Manzoni stop, after the city park, about 1.2 km away from Termini. Or walk in 10 min 10 blocks down Via Giolitti, turn right on Via Bixio for 2 blks then left on Via Principe Eugenio for a half block to number 90.
Golf:
There is the Sheraton Golf Parco de Medici Hotel 's golf course out in the suburbs and there is a country club at Castel Gandolfo, in the Roman Castles Hills. Contact Select Italy's website for arranging golfing or contact the hotel's website directly.
Other Activities:
Full sports center 5 min. walk, Colosseum and Forum 15 min. walk, good shopping in area
