WIFI, cable TV, front loading washer/dryer, sun porch, mudroom, and gourmet kitchen. Located just minutes from the Charlotte and Shelburne beaches, and a short walk to the historic Brick Store, Post Office, Library and a new gourmet deli. Shopping, fine dining/ nightlife, tennis and golf all within a 1/2 hour (from Vergennes to Burlington). A mere 10 minutes drive in neighboring Shelburne, Vt, visit both Shelburne Farms and the Shelburne Museum. Enjoy the best of Vermont's organic fare at the Shelburne Farmer's Market every Saturday, and while you're at it, visit Charlotte's own quaint and locally famous flea market.

Take the Charlotte/ Essex Ferry across the lake to NY and you are within 1 hour of the Adirondack high peaks and the heart of Lake Placid. A 25 minutes drive north of Charlotte will put you in the hip town of Burlington where you will find plenty of dining, shopping, theater, street musicians and artists, lakeside festivals throughout the summer and more! The Shelburne Museum, Farm and Farmer's Market are all just 10 minutes away. Cycle on some of the most beautiful roads Vermont has to offer right from the house. Try to climb Mt. Philo if you dare! Nature/bird-watching trails are just minutes down the road. Drive 15 minutes south and visit the up and coming town of Vergennes, where you will find fine dining and live theater; and don't forget to stop at the world renowned Dakin Farms on Route 7 along the way!

As soon as we arrived we knew the house was perfect for us. The country store is a short walk away and has great deli items, beer ,wine.The views from the first and second floors overlooking Lake Champlain were hard to believe. Each morning my wife and I went biking for over an hour past great farms.Also there is a vineyard down the road with great wines and tastings daily.We travel alot and this was the best home we have rented.The owner is very friendly and attentive.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

A lovely house on a hill ridge with views of the lake and the Adirondacks of New York. Kitchen was wonderful for cooking; lots of sofas for sleeping (that is, naps) as well as three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, one half bath on the first floor. The whole west side of the home is a wall of windows to take advantage of the views. A short bike ride to the beach; lots of Farmers Markets in the area; short ride up to Burlington; a beautiful neighborhood for biking and walking. Highly recommended.
