This old school was built in 1822. It was used by the children of Morlesau until 1959. After that, the detached building was used as a residence. It has arched windows. The schoolhouse includes a schoolyard, a small shady seating area and an old baking house.

Die Alte Schule kann all jenem wärmstens empfohlen werden, die Ihren Urlaub lieber in einem Geschichte ausstrahlenden, gemütlichen Gebäude mitten im Dorf als in Ferienhaussiedlungen verbringen und vor allem die Landschaft genießen wollen.
Dass Haus steht direkt am Dorfplatz, umgeben von gewachsenen und bewirtschafteten Bauernhöfen. Es ist ausgesprochen kinderfreundlich: vom Spielzeug über Bücher, Kinderbett und -stuhl bis zum wenige Schritte entfernten Spielplatz ist alles da. Und unser Hund hatte nach wenigen Tagen neue Freunde auf den Nachbarhöfen gefunden.
Wir hatten das Glück, Morlesau bei schönem Wetter genießen zu dürfen und saßen jeden Tag im Gärtchen oder beim Gewitter in der überdachten Laube. Es gibt einen Grill sowie einen Feuerkorb und das nötige Holz dazu. Die Umgebung ist sehr lieblich: Nur empfehlen kann man eine Paddeltour auf der Saale, Kanus kann man unkompliziert im Gasthof ausleihen. Für Radtouren steht eine ganze Flotte gut gewarteter (!) Räder incl. Kindersitz zur Verfügung. Erwähnen sollte man auch die gute Bahnanbindung für Ausflüge, ggf. sogar für An- und Abreise.
Und wenn das Wetter mal nicht mitspielen sollte: Das Haus bietet genug Möglichkeiten für Geselligkeit und Rückzug, es ist voller Bücherregale (leider hat die Zeit nicht ganz für E. A. Poes Gesamtwerk gereicht …). Wer möchte, findet Gesellschaftsspiele, TV incl. Video- und DVD-Player und einer Auswahl an Filmen...
Ganz entscheidend fürs Wohlfühlen war die herzliche Aufnahme und Betreuung durch die nette Vermieterin.

Das Haus ist nicht Ur gemütlich sonder sehr heimelig. Die Lanschaft ist prima, aber am wohlsten fühlen wir uns im Haus.
Die "Gastmutter" Anderea ist super organisiert, wahnsinnig nett und hat ein ein Händchen für prima Häuser!
Mindestens 1x im Jahr - sonst fehlt was. Als Gruppe oder als Sonderluxus einfach zu zweit, das Haus wird ständig mit liebevoller Hand gerichtet und verbessert.
Wenn man trotzdem mal raus will - Kajak fahren (Rossmühle) oder einfach im Gasthof Nöth hervorragend essen.

Gemütliches Ferienhaus und herrliche Landschaft

Die Angaben im Online-Inserat waren absolut korrekt. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich. Die Vermieter sind ungemein nett, freundlich, offen. Die Betreung konnte besser nicht sein. Dieses Ferienhaus habe ich auch schon Bekannten und Freunden empfohlen. Der Ort selbst ist idyllisch gelegen, auf der Saale kann man Kanu fahren. Verleih gleich in der Nähe, auch das Gasthaus Nöth können wir nur sehr empfehlen. Man kann dort sehr gut essen. Und überhaupt ist die Landschaft sehr pittoresk. Sehr zu empfehlen ist eine Wanderung auf den Sodenberg, nicht ganze ohne Steigung, aber die Aussicht ist famos. Wir sind gerne hier gewesen und werden ganz bestimmt wieder kommen!
