Photos and Description of this Little Gasparilla Island holiday house 4 bedroom 3 bath sleeps 8 on the water with private dock -- accept credit cards

Our house is on the bayside of Little Gasparilla Island overlooking Placida Sound. Little Gasparilla is a bridgeless barrier island north of Boca Grande; is 7 miles long with beautiful white sand beaches. The south 2 miles of the island is Little Gasparilla which is connected to the north by a 1 mile long state park, Don Pedro with Palm Island to the north of the park - all connected by the same 7 mile beach. The house has large front porch shaded by gumbo limbo trees for relaxing and enjoying the view, barbequing and outside dining. The dock accommodates 2 boats easily. The end of the dock is great for fishing (cleaning tables under roof)and the glider seating provides morning or night views of the bay and it's plentiful wildlife. Inside, the kitchen and counter top seating works well for entertaining and the dining area seats 8. A large L shaped couch seats many and 40' TV is connected to Dish Net Satellite. Downstairs there are 3 bedrooms, upstairs large bedroom with futon and TV.

Nearest Beach: beach at 200 Metres
Little Gasparilla Island is accessible by boat only - Just north of Boca Grande . 35 miles south of Sarasota. There are no cars on the island and no businesses or restaurants. There are several bars & restaurants that you can get to by boat. The island has wonderful cart paths and you can rent a golf cart to go exploring the island, although most people are happy walking or jogging the beaches. Boat taxis are available to transport to and from for avg fee.

Rental House Paradise!

My family and I just rented this incredible house for a week and we were truly in heaven.

The dock was beyond perfect for any boater and the bay breezes each afternoon and evening were a wonderful way to end a long hot day of either fishing or beachcombing.

Our 4 year old loved to see the dolphins swim right in front of the house and our 16 year old felt so independent being up in his own seperate "apartment".

When other Tampa friends/family came down to visit (or other's also renting on the island), they were all envious of our oh so fine digs! "This has got to be the best set-up on the island", they said.

We can't wait to return and hope to make it an annual trip!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
