Photos and Description of this Savannah holiday house 2 BR, 1.5 BA, sleeps 4

A freestanding house only 4 blocks east of Forsyth Park, our home on East Hungtingdon Street has been completely renovated and decorated so as to be comfortable and cozy, furnished with charming antiques. The downstairs has a living area, dining area, full kitchen, half bath and laundry area. The living room has a flat screen TV. A satellite dish on the roof provides many channels. A computer hook-up is in the kitchen. An enclosed patio is right off the kitchen - a sunny place for a relaxing meal. Upstairs, we have 2 bedrooms. One with an antique double size mahogany bed and the second with 2 twin brass and iron beds that can be put together to make a king size bed. Sheets are available for the beds either as twins or king size. Upstairs is also a trunk room - common in old Savannah homes - that can be used as a walk-in closet - or for an extra bedroom for a child. A blow-up cot is accessible in the trunk room.

We loved the place. Old house in Old town could have not asked for more. Large black community felt very safe and welcome. Got to know our neighbors with in minutes. Absolutely a lovely old Baptist church across from the house Anno 1934.

A must to eat at Mellow Mushroom great hoagie sandwiches and Pizza the place is mellow . Also the Crab shack on Tybee Island

The house is awesome it is got every thing you need it is old and just very comfy would absolutely try to rent it again . We can not say any thing about this house that is negative. Please when you consider this property that it takes you back in time and realty some folks can not remember those times. but we know and it made our vacation.

PS there are stairs to climb for the main bedroom and Bathroom

Fun in Savannah...with 2 dogs.

The location of the house is great..walking distance to many things. We were worried about the neighborhood, but it was quiet and fine. It was very safe! There was a problem with the growth of the grass and weeds on the side and part of the front of the house, but the property manager had not made the owners aware of it, and now they are taking care of it. This is a pet friendly house, and that was very nice. The kitchen is great, bathroom is nice, and good to have 2! Property manager came over immediately when we needed a coffee pot with one for us to use, and she was so nice. Savannah has so much to see, so many great restaurants and shops, also Tybee Beach, and the friendly people! Also it is a pet friendly city, with people walking dogs wherever we went. Definitely recommend this property and it is such a bargain.

Excellent place to stay!

My husband and I took our 2 dogs with us to Savannah just last week and loved the house. We referred to it as home and our shepherd was guarding it in her usual "this is my space" way!
