We are about a 5 minute walk to the beach where you can take an early morning walk to watch the sunrise or sit on the beach to watch a beautiful sunset. There is a glamorous night life, world class casino gaming and gourmet dining in the nearby Cable Beach area. For an adventurous, mix and mingle with the locals you can travel on the local number 10 bus service which will take you to the world famous straw market located in the heart of down town Nassau. The bus can also take to you to the eastern part of the island to visit our world Class Atlantis Paradise Island Resorts. There is also a golf course, and scooter rental within walking distance of Brown Stone location. I highly recommend the Brownstone it was our home away from home. It is in a great location, clean and super comfy! Close to everything! The pool was ideal especially when the grown-ups want to relax but the kids want to keep swimming. Janet and her boys are the best!!! We will be back very soon. Loved it!

Brownstone Cottage

We have no hesitation in recommending Brownstone Cottages. Janet and her family were most welcoming and always very helpful. The accommodation was extremely clean with wonderful decor. With the pool and patio area, the outside was a relaxing place to be after a day of sightseeing. A walk through a pleasant residential area of about 10 minutes took you to the bus which always arrived within a few minutes of waiting. The nearest beach which was good for snorkeling was very clean and quiet was a similar distance away. Having the car rental on site made it much easier to arrange and we had a good time seeing the rest of the island. Nassau town, Fish Fry, Cable Beach and Paradise Island are all easily accessible by local transport. Thanks Janet!

More Than I Had Expected :-)

I had an amazing time at the Brownstone guesthouse! Janet provided everything we needed throughout the 6 days we spent there. Not only did she provide us with a beautifully decorated house, but Janet, along with her wonderful boys, organized a BBQ on our first day, as well as a movie night with Bahamian food the next! The house is about a 10 min walk from the beach and the bus. It was a great location so we often walked to the beach and took the bus to the downtown area. Staying at the Brownstone definitely made the guesthouse feel more like a home. I recommend this place to anyone and definitely hope to return myself. :-)

Fell in love with the Brownstone!!

Words cannot express how I felt staying at this beautiful cottage, cottage is what it does not feel like, more like a cozy home. I just spent a week here and was so sad to leave. I felt as if I was leaving my home and had only been there 6 days. To begin, the location, design, and decor was to die for. Once you step in you realize you are in the Bahamas. Janet does a grat job with her fantastic eye for decor and her husband matched that with a great eye for the design. Great Job!! Accomadations included: Pool, BBQ,full kitchen, washer & dryer, outside dining area, car rental, and a great places to find lizards and frogs.(all of which are a plus when you travel with children as I did). Janet and her boys hospitality was genuine and I am glad to have found such a jewel as the Brownstone. Can't wait to go back!!!!!
