Incline Village is an ideal vacation destination, especially in summer:
The water is warmer on this shore than anywhere else on the lake, and the many beaches are sandy and kid-friendly. Sand Harbor is five miles south of the house, on 28. It has easy parking and boat launch.
Hit the beach!
Incline Village is the hands-down winner for enjoying the lake itself. The town really shines in the lifeguarded, boat-free, swimming beach. It costs about $10.00 /day to park. Another option is residents-only Burnt Cedar Beach, about a 10-15 minute walk on Lakeshore Drive from the house. We will get you a pass upon request; cost is about $7.00 per person per day. Burnt Cedar features a large swimming pool, a sheltered cove for swimming in the lake, and a large lawn with picnic facilities, swings for the kids, and lots of room for throwing the Frisbee. Farther along Lakeshore Avenue is Ski Beach, also for residents, with a big boat launch and a wide, sandy beach. Hidden Beach is also nearby and great hangout for locals. It’s something of a logistical challenge, but worth it. Another great spot the locals know is in nearby Crystal Bay at Speedboat Beach. For these latter locations, inquire locally, or give us a call and we’ll explain.
