Restaurants:
The selection of restaurants around our apartment is very diverse, all very affordable, and most of them deliver if you feel like chilling out for a night: Bombay Masala (Indian), Udom Thai, Chavella's (Mexican), The Spice is Right (Caribbean), Bristens (paninis), The Spot (American), Tom's Restaurant (American), and Gen's (Sushi/Japanese).
Amenities:
There's a laundromat at the end of our street that offers drop off service. The closest grocery store is 'Fischer's' just 3 blocks away, and Nam's Corner store (2 blocks away) has the best produce. The Wine Store is just 2 blocks away. The Grand Army Plaza Farmer's Market is fun to visit on the weekends, and there are several specialty stores a few blocks away in Park Slope where you can buy specialty cheeses and breads.
Fun Stuff:
The Tabernacle Church a couple blocks away has a very lively service on Sundays, it's fun to stop in and witness the action, a great dose of cultural immersion. Prospect Park is home of the drum circle on Sunday afternoons at 'Drummer's Grove' in the southwest corner.
