Tenuta Mezzorecchio is a former vineyard, restored to Cilentan style with lots of attention to detail and exuberance. The former main house and adjacent houses are situated on a 10,000 m2 large ground plot of vineyard terraces. This holiday apartment is very tastefully and really comfortably furnished. From the patio and garden there is a lovely view of the sea and the hills of the Tresino peninsula. Possessing comfortable furnishings, central heating, open fireplace and satellite TV, it is also great for out-of-season visits. It’s located in a quiet, leafy surroundings, although S. Maria town centre and the beach are only 2 km away and easy to get to by bus,, by car or on foot. Nearby there are several trattorias, a bar, a grocery shop and a bus stop.

The antique centre of Santa Maria is wonderfully picturesque with its Saracen tower, Palazzo Belmonte and its little harbour promenade, all maintained in original condition. In the evening young and old meet here. During the day everyone congregates on the piazza, where there are little bars and a view of the sea. In the adjacent Corso or pedestrian zone there are lots of tiny shops with all kinds of wares. To the left and right of Santa Maria there are kilometres of sandy beaches bordered by the picturesque promontories of Tresino and Licosa. All year round Santa Maria is a small, lively tourist centre offering a genuine welcome to all visitors, and with everything you expect of a modern seaside. Attractive places to visit like Naples, Vesuvius, Pompeii, Capri or the Amalfi coast are near enough for day trips.
