Great Place to Stay in New York

Home away is a perfect name for the experience we had at this property. As I was planning my trip, I struggled deciding on our accommodations. I wanted the experience of the city with out being in the heart of the city and did not want to stay in a hotel for 5 days without the amenities essential for traveling with 2 small children- namely a kitchen. When I found this rental, it fit exactly with what I envisioned for our trip. After speaking with the property owner who was so helpful in answering my questions, I booked my trip immediately. Upon arrival, we were met with a warm welcome by the owner. A nice perk, the owner was a phone call away and literally downstairs, which was very reassuring. The apt was beautiful, so spacious and set in a charming Brooklyn neighborhood. The two bedrooms allowed my husband and me to have separate sleeping quarters for our children. Our children took their naps without being disturbed, as they would be if we were in a conventional hotel room. It was wonderful to walk to the local grocery store and get food for the week. We even made pancakes one morning, which really made the kids feel at home. Cooking in the apt saved us money and made the times we chose to go out to eat even more special. The location was perfect. Going into the city was easy - about 20 minutes by the subway. We were able to walk to the local pizza shop and take the kids to a playground nearby. We also went to the Botanical Gardens and the Brooklyn Museum on the days we did not want to venture into the city. After a full day, we were able to retreat back to the comfort of our home away from home. I loved the level of privacy you have at this rental. There is something really nice about walking up to your home away from home and having a private entrance. No worries of being disturbed by a cleaning staff in the mornings. I have already spoken with the property owner about booking our next stay. The rate for the stay is incredibly reasonable when you think about all the added benefits of the amenities that you have. My husband travels for work and is planning to stay at this property during his next NY trip. The kids and I are already planning on joining him on that trip. Anyone looking for a beautiful, private, spacious, reasonably priced rental with the comfort of knowing the owner is just an apt below if you have questions- this is the spot for you. I’ve sent his link to all my friends as a great place to stay- it is truly a home away from home!
