This gorgeous 3100 sq ft Log Home near Lake Laura is the perfect place to spend a Quiet Retreat! The Main Level consists of a Living Room with Leather Furnishings and Large Screen TV, stereo and DVD, a beautifully Equipped Kitchen with new Appliances and room to seat 4, a dining room that seats 8, an en suite Master Bedroom with TV/VCR/DVD, a Second Bedroom, and 2nd full Bath. Entrances to the Large Deck are from both the Master Bedroom and the Living Room. The loft is at the top of the stunning staircase and holds the third bedroom. The Lower Level features a huge Family Room with TV/VCR/DVD, full size billiards table and a full bath. The recently completed 'Pub' room tops it off with another big screen TV and entrance to the second large deck and hot tub. A fourth bedroom lies off the family room and has an adjoining bunk room that can be closed off into a separate sleeping area. Great for small kids if Mom and Dad need to be close but still want privacy.

Haven in the sky

This Log Home was everything I expected and more. Very clean and enjoyable. I really appreciate the owners allowing our pets to come with us, because they do travel everywhere we go. The view from the back deck was beautiful and we even saw deer running thur the woods while we were enjoying a quiet sit. We took a walk to Lake Laura and that was the best, because we are hikers and the scenery was great. I can't wait to come back.

I wish I could buy it!

What an escape!! Columbus Ohio area

My family and I stayed at this cabin for 7 days after a tragic family death. I can not explain how much this house and this area helpped us. This is a place that nothing else matters in the world and a great place to reconnect with family. What a WONDERFUL experience we had and we hope to make this cabin our family vacation spot for years to come.

What a great weekend!

This is a gorgeous home, full of amenities. We brought 6 adults, 4 kids, and a dog and had plenty of room. We did take a nice family walk to Lake Laura, but other than that we hardly got out of the house to do very much because we enjoyed the space so much! We will be back!

A very pleasant surprise

My family and I stayed in this lovely home for a partial week in August 2009. The online photos do not come close to doing this home justice. It is very open and airy, and so very family-friendly that we immediately regretted not being able to stay longer. The house was clean, the rooms are large, and the decks are perfect. With the view we had, even though it rained a couple days, we did not feel shut in. This was our first visit to Basye and we are already planning our return!

Beautiful log home

My family recently stayed in the log home for a week of vacation. The log home is very large and can accomodate
a large group without feeling crowded. The bathrooms were very clean, as was the rest of the house. The owner called us the day we checked into the house to make sure everything was fine and answered all my questions by email promptly. Beautiful view of the mountains from the back deck and the lake (Lake Laura) was enjoyed by my family.
