She is President of the Wellness Center of America and as a 'perk' can give you free consultations on your health problems. On the other hand, she can become invisable, if you so desire. She may venture into the kitchen but only when the renters are out. Oh yes, and there is an indoor cat which could possibly wander upstairs so I know you will enjoy a very friendly kitty. I am even willing to baby sit your children!!!

EXCELLENT Location and Price -

Let’s get this part taken care of first because I was a little hesitant about the owner on the first floor and the cat just as much as you might be. As DR. Joyce mentions she is invisible while you are there, not a problem at all. She was available by phone if I had any questions or needed anything. Maria (the cat) was not a bother either, I saw her about 3 times during the week. This was not an issue.

Now for the house and everything else. The listing descrition is accurate reguarding location, layout and amenities etc. This dwelling has all the comforts of home and more (unless you have a massage chair like the one provided here). We have a family of five (2 girls 16 & 13 and an 11 year old boy) and the house worked out perfectly. It is in an excellent location, an easy and safe walk to Victoria Beach/ocean. Victoria Beach is semi-private with nice sand and clean water. Also, it is away from the large crowds of the main Laguna Beach which is not too far away if you want to go there.

The house is close to everything you need; grocery store, shops, church, etc. You can walk or take the trolley that stops by about every 15 -20 minutes. Many eating locations you can walk to or take the trolley (Ruby’s Auto Diner, Z pizza, Gina’s Pizza and Italian food, Taco Bell, Jack in the box, and many others).

The location has easy access to freeways to get to Disneyland, Universal Studios, Hollywood, and San Diego, etc.

As I mentioned in the beginning, I really liked the massage chair. After a day at the beach or theme park, just set the chair on auto massage for the upper and lower body and you will start to fall asleep by the end of the massage.

We would stay here again if we make it back out to California and I would reccomend this house to a friend..
Owner's Response: This is a good and accurate review. Victoria beach is the best kept secret in Laguna. A beautiful private beach that few people know about. Why would you want the congested beaches when you can have a gem like this? And, by the way, it even has a net for beach volley ball.

A beautiful place 2 min from the beach

Delightful apartment, fully equipped, you feel at home immediately. 2 min walk from an amazing beach. The owner is very welcoming and is always looking for a way to make your stay the best that it can be.
Close to everything including great yoga.
Highly recommend!

Three Weeks in August

My husband and I stayed in Laguna Beach for three weeks this past August. It was great being able to walk for only five minutes to the secluded beach. We went there almost every day. We loved being right by one of the trolley stops that took us to downtown Laguna Beach and the art shows too. Downtown has a lot of shopping, beaches and some great restaurants. You can also take the trolley to the Laguna beaches. It is nice avoiding the hassles of traffic and parking and taking the trolley.
We enjoyed going to a play near downtown, The Pageant of the Masters was outstanding and a must see, There were also art shows that were there all summer. We went to all three. We took the trolley to the dinner, a play, the pageant, and the art shows.
Since we eat gluten-free and organic being near a Whole Foods was key. Also we had to have a full kitchen to cook our meals when we ate at home. There was a great gluten-free pizza place near by that we took advantage of too.
We enjoyed hanging out on the deck and ate some of our meals there too. We hung out some evenings at home and watched movies.
It was nice to get to know the sweet cat Maria. She would wander up and see us every now and then. Dr. J was a pleasure to meet and get to know over the three weeks that we were there.
Staying with Dr. J is somewhat like staying at a bed and breakfast but you are the only guests. And you make your own meals. But Dr. J is willing to share ideas on places to go and things to do. She even went shopping at the farmer's market for us and had our food waiting for us when we arrived; along with a bottle of red wine. In Laguna Beach having parking is great. We had a space in the garage of Dr. J's home.
It was hard to leave Laguna Beach and head back home to Chicago. We hope to get to Laguna Beach again in the future.
