You can take your family on day trips to the nearby Cabbage Key and the outer islands of Cayo Costa, or if you are an adventurous person, you can take out kayaks and explore Back Bay and Jug Creek. Even biking around Bokeelia and Pine Island will expose you to beautiful landscapes. In addition, there are several locations around Pine Island to watch breath taking sunsets. In nearby Matlacha, you can explore numerous art galleries. Matlacha as well as Pine Island are home to several fine restaurants. In addition, Cape Coral, Sanibel and Captiva Island are just a short drive or boat ride. Cape Coral boasts attractions such as the 'Sun Splash Family Water Park, the 'Children's Science Center,' and the 'Cape Coral Historical Museum'.
