Six unit luxury condo building; ocean views from every room, 3 balconies, huge 2nd floor covered patio (Palapa), washer/dryer, air conditioned bedrooms, full well- stocked kitchen, king size beds in each bedroom plus fold down futon sofa, wireless Internet, American satellite TV, large swimming pool. Close to beaches, dining, shopping, but located in a quiet upscale neighborhood. Beautifully furnished & decorated with good art from Oaxaca. Well designed floor plan provides good privacy inside the condo. Absolutely unforgettable views of both sunrise & sunset.

Condo Arrecifes: A wonderful getaway vacation spot. The condo is located in the nicest section of the town. It has only six units total in the building; there is one full- time resident. Amazingly peaceful & tranquil but a short distance from everything. There are about 8 or 9 beaches in Puerto alone; there are also many other secluded beaches a short drive away.

Puerto Escondido: Picturesque small beach town with no large chain resorts, Puerto is being 'discovered' by more & more North Americans each year as a great choice for a vacation. There is a small community of expatriate 'gringos' & many 'snowbirds' who winter there. Some Spanish is helpful- many people speak some English, & I know some permanent residents who speak no Spanish at all. It attracts a very interesting mix of European, North American, Canadian, & Asian tourists. There are good restaurants with cuisines of many countries that reflect this. Oaxacan food is unique & somewhat different than what most think of as 'Mexican' food, & is not to be missed: for me, it's one of the best things about the place. There are many, many outdoor activities ranging from simple sightseeing to the adventurous. Some choose to simply stay at the condo & relax by the pool.

Surf: Among many other things, Puerto is a world- class surf destination. Zicatela Beach, known as the 'Mexican Pipeline', can be as good as Hawaii. A word of caution- when the surf is big, this is not a beach for beginners. There are many protected beaches & bays which are great for swimming, snorkeling, etc. If you do surf, Zicatela is not to be missed.

The condo is beautifully decorated with dark woods and original pieces of art from local artistans. The condo layout allowed privacy as the kids room with its own bathroom is separated from the master suite by the large livingroom/kitchen. The balconey overlooking the pool has a full view of the sea. We sat on the balconey and watched the whales spouting every afternoon! In the evenings we would retire to the hammocks under the palapa on the roof to watch the sunset. It is just a five minute walk, through a neighborhood of private estates to local restaurants featuring fresh catch of the day and gift shops where the shopping was suitable for teenagers or seasoned collectors of arts and crafts. In the mornings we walked to beach where we spent the days in the surf or sitting under the palm frond umbrellas sipping drinks from a coconut shell. Boat trips to view sealife or fishing can be booked right on the beach.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: Nothing makes me happier than another satisfied customer. When these folks stayed, the condo was not even finished being decorated, it looks even better now. Anyone with an appreciation of art will love the original paintings from a few well known Oxacan artists. Of course the thing most pleasing to the eye is the view from inside or better yet, on the second floor patio.....

Absolute Paradise

I had a wonderful romantic vacation with my husband here last spring. The view of the ocean from the condo is absolutely breathe taking.
The beach and many of the restaurants are within walking distance. The condo is very comfortable and spacious. I spent most of my days laying out by the pool and napping in the hammock located on the palapa. We will be coming back for another vacation soon. I highly recommend staying here.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
