We stayed at Husum House for one weekend in June (09) and absolutely fell in love. It's a great house with so much character. The rooms are clean and cozy and the setting is perfect for a relaxing getaway. Husum is nothing but a few roads in size and the house sits on a perfect spot of the river. Hood River, OR, a wonderful place to eat, drink, shop, and engage in nightlife, is just 15 minutes away so you truly do have the best of both worlds. In the summer we were able to hike nearby (Sleeping Beauty is a tough one but wholly worth it in the end!), go whitewater rafting (Wetplanet is just across the street!), and sun on the deck, but I'd imagine the winter would allow for a similar amount of nearby activities including snowshoeing and Xcountry skiing.
Matt is incredibly friendly and accommodating. He is very quick to respond, easy to communicate with, and very hospitable. We look forward to another visit!
