Photos and Description of this Gruissan holiday house

Our holiday house is located in the district of Les Ayguades about 50 m from the lagoon and about 300 m from the wide, plain sandy beach. The lower floor features a living/dining room with kitchenette (big refrigerator), satellite TV (all German channels), a radio with CD-player, a shower and toilet. The upper floor has 2 bedrooms, one room with French bed and an armoire, the other room with a bunk bed with 2 single sleeping facilities. There is also a 2nd toilet on the upper floor. All furniture is made of light wood. The cosy terrace with grill invites to relax until late at night. The swimming pool is situated nearby. Next to the holiday resort there is a playground that can be reached directly through our resort.

Gruissan, one of France’s prettiest villages, has been able to keep its typical street picture. The winding alleys and old houses of this fishing village surround the old Barbarossa tower. At the foot of the natural reserve hill landscape “La Clape”, surrounded by lovely, wide sandy beach and many vineyards, it invites to linger here. This region has over 300 sunny days. The mild climate in winter and spring is suitable for a long stay.

Information: The swimming pool of the holiday resort is open from June 1st to September 30th. A pool attendant looks out for order and tidiness. Pets are welcome, but have to be registered. Bakery, newspaper/tobacco shop and a small supermarket are easily available by foot. The house can be electrically heated. In Gruissan resides a general practitioner that speaks German. On the way to the sea there are 2 restaurants. The Croc Vacanze and the Arc de Ciel. Especially mentionable is the surf school in Gruissan Mateille. It teaches surfing, funboard and catamaran. Lessons are offered in German and English also.

Excursion possibilities: In the close surrounding you can make many hiking and cycling tours in the natural reserve “La Clape”. The slopes of “Clape” are grown over with pine woods. On the elevated plains heath, thyme, rosemary, lavender and uncountable other, some rare plants, sprout. On a walking trail you can reach the fisherman cemetery and the chapel of 2Notre Dame des Auzils”, a pilgrimage place, where fishers come together at Easter and Pentecost. The beach “La Plage des Chalets” with a short drive. Here stand the wood houses that became famous by the movie “Betty Blue” (Jean-Jaques Beieix). IN the Aqua-Park of Narbonne Plage time goes by rapidly. He regions of Corière and Minervois with the Canal du Midi make beautiful destinations (abbeys, grots). Many wine producers open their cellars for visits and winetasting. A special delicacy is the town Carcassonne with its historic fortress.

Journey possibilities: The most common journey possibility is the own car. If you do not want to drive the entire distance by yourself, there is the alternative of travelling part of the way by motorail train. These trains drive all summer. Destination is Narbonne. Flying from different German towns is possible, too. At the present time flights from Frankfurt/Hahn and Cologne to Montpellier are available at very low prices. The lease of a rented car is not very expensive in France. You can get an Opel Corsa for about 200 € a week without kilometre limit.

Die Villa Erika ist wie beschrieben gemütlich und sauber in eine gepflegt und ruhige Anlage.
Näher an der Pool kann man eigentlich nicht sein, was sehr angenehm ist wenn man Kinder hat. Dazu eine sehr freundliche und aufmerksam Betreuung die für Ruhe und Ordnung sorgt so dass man auf die Terrasse auch mal eine Nachmittag genießen kann ohne gestört zu werden.
Der Strand (ca. 5mn. zu Fuß) ist riesig und optimal für Kinder.
Der Kontakt zum Vermieter und zur Hausverwaltung war sehr nett.
Die Villa können wir nur weiter empfehlen.

Gepflegtes Ferienhaus in guter Standlage

Dieses Ferienhaus ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen, es entspricht genau den Angaben auf der Internetseite. Die Ausstattung ist hervorragend und man sieht, das es laufend gereinigt und "in Schuss" gehalten wird. Einziges Manko sind die kurzen Betten, aber darauf wurde ja auch hingewiesen. Sollten wir noch einmal in dieser Region Urlaub machen, werden wir nicht lange suchen, sondern sofort hier wieder buchen - wir werden die Wohnung uneingeschränkt unseren Freunden weiter empfehlen.

2 tolle Wochen

Wir haben im August 2008 sehr schöne Urlaubstage in der Villa Erika verbracht. Das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet und sehr sauber, die Anlage gepflegt.
Die Betreuung vor Ort ist sehr aufmerksam und hat prima funktioniert. Der Pool ist direkt gegenüber der Terrasse, für uns und die Kinder optimal. Der Strand ist klasse, selbst im Hochsommer genug Platz für alle. Für Sportfans (Joggen, Inline, Fahrrad) bestens geeignet, man kann direkt von der Haustür starten. Die Natur ist herrlich, in nah und fern gibt es viel zu sehen. Leider haben wir nur einen Teil davon besichtigen können, zwei Wochen sind dafür einfach zu kurz.
Bis jetzt sind wir jedes Jahr in eine andere Region gefahren, aber hier würden wir glatt eine Ausnahme machen!

Ein schöner Urlaub.

Wir haben dieses Jahr in Ihrem Ferienhaus einen wunderschönen Urlaub verbracht. Ihr Haus ist liebevoll und vollständig eingerichtet und sehr gepflegt. Besonders gefallen hat uns die unmittelbare Nähe zum Swimmingpool, da konnten wir unsere Söhne auch ruhig einmal alleine zum Schwimmen hinschicken. Trotzdem konnten wir sie von der Terasse aus immer beobachten und hatten so auch mal ein ruhiges Stündchen für uns.
Die Umgebung lädt zu zahlreichen Ausflügen ein, und so lernt man Land und Leute kennen. Der riesige Sandstrand ist toll und geradezu für Kinder gemacht. Selbst nach 50 Metern durchs Wasserlaufen geht mir das Wasser nur bis zum Bauchnabel. In der Lagune kann man wunderbar nach Meeresgetier suchen und versuchen dieses zu fangen. Unsere Söhne waren Stundenlang beschäftigt.
Alles in allem "EIN SCHÖNER URLAUB". Wir wollen auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Unser schönster Urlaub

Wir genossen letzten Sommer einen herrlichen Urlaub in Ihrem Ferienhaus. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Man merkt, dass es laufend in Schuss gehalten wird. Es ist sehr gut bestückt mit viel Geschirr, Pfannen, Besteck usw. Auch den Flachbildschirm-TV haben unsere Kinder sehr genossen. Einen herzlichen Dank für die gute Betreuung durch Ihre Verwalterin vor Ort! Man kann dieses Ferienhausdomizil bestens weiterempfehlen. Wir freuens uns dieses Jahr wieder bei Ihnen unseren Sommerurlaub zu verbringen.
