Our favorite spot in Vermont

When first laying eyes upon the house, you are struck by its lovely porch and inviting façade. Walking in the front door the openness is evident but the coziness is definitely felt. Although spacious and comfortable it has places where you can curl up and read a good book ; the front porch or the screened in deck or the cozy den.
If you like to cook, as I do, you’re not separated from the family. The kitchen has everything you could want, just like home. You can see into the family room and dining room while cooking away. This home has great warmth and charm yet, boasts 4 bedrooms which can easily host a number of friends/visitors, as well. And, each of the rooms are wonderfully appointed and well-equipped.
If you are a fan of the outdoors, the location of this wonderful home could not be better situated. We had access to the Quechee Club's amenities, including 2 top rated golf courses, an olympic-sized pool, a quaint lake (with canoes/kayaks), state of the art gym and multiple dining facilities. As we have also stayed here in the winter months, we have made use of the Club's ski facility. Other points of interest near the home are multiple local farms (cheeses/syrups/animals), Woodstock and Dartmouth College - all only minutes away. In any kind of weather it is a perfect getaway, a refuge, a joyful place in Vermont where we have made some very special memories.
