Close to Alpine Helen, a quaint German town with restaurants and shops. Catch a show at Remember When Theater, or go to the haunted house if you are brave enough. Arts and crafts shops also. Go inner tubing down the Chattahoochee river in the summer time. Celebrate Oktoberfest all trough October in Helen. Unicoi state park offers hiking, swimming and other activities. Horseback riding also in the proximity of the cabin at Sunburst Stables. Don't miss the Old Sautee store at intersection of 255 and 17. Great spot for lunch. Coffee shop across the way and beautiful shops with local arts and crafts. Anna Ruby Falls has a beautiful walk to the falls. Tallulah falls a short drive away. Dahlonega also a short drive- great little town with blue grass and music festivals.
