Near Monarch Ski Area and minutes from the Arkansas River, Shavano Valley Cabin is perfectly located in a protected valley setting with a stunning view of area peaks. It is perfectly suited for a great Colorado family vacation. The cabin sleeps up to eight guests. Three roomy bedrooms, 2 Queen, 2 Twin XL beds, sleeper sofa, two full baths, washer-dryer utility room, and large fully equipped kitchen. With its full cathedral great room, 1½ story windows, and large dining room, this house says ''Relax and enjoy Colorado!'' The house is fully ADA compliant with entry ramp & wheelchair shower off the master bathroom. Need to work or stay in touch with friends? We have a laptop computer and high-speed Internet for your work (or play) needs! Also equipped with telephone, satellite radio & satellite TV. Nearby activities include skiing, snowshoeing, rafting, kayaking, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, & visiting nearby hot springs. No pets. No smoking.

  • Rates based on 6 person occupancy. $10 per person/per night for persons above occupancy. Minimum stay of two nights. Stays of two nights or less incur a one-time $80 cleaning fee. Weekly price is based on 7 nights. Applicable sales and lodging taxes apply. Pay by check on on-line at PayPal. Credit card fees will be added to total.
  • We generally take personal checks with enough notice. We also use PayPal for online payment transfers. Credit card processing fee will be added to the total rental contract. A fully refundable damage deposit of $200 is required of all stays.

The Shavano cabin is the most comfortable, clean, and equipped place I have ever stayed in!! Everything is close by--river access, skiing, hiking, shopping in Salida, great restaurants in nearby towns. You can see Mt Shavano from the main room (above) and its simply spectacular. No problems with access in winter, easy to find. The kitchen is amazing and the hosts have not forgotten anything. Master bath, w/d, beautiful decor. I could just move in and live here year round.

A great place to play or rest

This is an idyllic place to stay. Nestled in a valley and surrounded by mountains, it is a place to hike or to rest, depending on your needs. The house is beautiful and the beds comfortable. It is clean and nicely furnished. You can cook in the modern kitchen or drive to one of the nearby towns for very good food. I wouldn't mind living there year round and I'll bet you'll feel the same.
