Situated in peaceful ricefields 400m from Brawa beach and still close to exciting restaurants, spas and shopping, Villa Salju is the perfect place to experience the magic of coastal Bali. Includes: - New Toyota 4WD (excl. petrol) - Driver 8 hours/day. Putu is our loyal and very trustworthy driver - a real gem, my guests love him. He will recommend the good eating spots during your stay and take you on daytrips. - Daily cleaning service. Tari is the very sweet maid who will clean, do your washing, ironing, etc. - Airport transfers w. flowers and big smile - Welcome fruit - All linen, towels - Security guard - Pool cleaning, gardening. We pride ourselves on providing a fantastic holiday experience, so please let us know how we can make your trip special by organizing villa activities such as cooking and traditional weaving, or trips to volcanoes and temples. We have an excellent masseur available on request too.

  • The beds in all three bedrooms have very comfortable king-size King Koil mattresses with white linens. All bedrooms have air-con and fans and are able to be individually locked. Each bedroom has a tropical ensuite bathroom with rainfall shower. The first bedroom is on the ground floor of the main house, and has a large adjacent dressing room. The ensuite bathroom has a slightly open roof, giving it a semi-outdoor feel and at the same time affording complete privacy. The second bedroom and ensuite are upstairs in the main house with its own very large balcony with daybed overlooking the ricefields. (Tip: The sunsets as watched from the large top balcony are simply stunning.) On a clear day the holy Balinese volcanoes can be seen to the east from here. The third bedroom and ensuite are in the poolside guest house. I am happy to organise a cot for your little one if needed.

The Best of Bali

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon. It was amazing! A luxury house that felt like home. We spent plenty of time in the beautiful pool, used the well-equipt kitchen to make delicious meals and most of all spent the evenings watching the sun set on the next door rice fields. The view from the second floor was always magical. It really was the best of Bali, close to all Bali has to offer, while secluded and peaceful.

When I return to Bali, I wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else.

Now I know how heaven must be .......

In the evening, we arrived at Bali International Airport and Putu from the Villa Salju Team was already waiting there with a big sign with our names on and a flower chain. On the way to the villa, we drove along rice flieds while Putu was giving us a first introduction about Bali in fluent English! This was the moment when I started to feel really relaxed because I realised that I am in good hands.
I felt overwhelmed by the picturesque beauty when we arrived at the Villa Salju. The villa was surrounded by rice fields, palms and was even more beautiful than words can tell, as you can see on the photo. The kitchen with it impressive modern style and the openess to the living room was the first thing which I recogniced after entering the villa. The combination of modern and traditional style we could find in the whole villa. The bedroom was decorated in the same way and I felt like being in my own home.
A few minutes from the villa you will find wonderful restaurants where you can eat delicious dishes. If you would like to have a drink afterwards a few bars are waiting. Back in the villa you can enjoy this silent place while looking into the stars listening to the wind....
Reviewing the week in which we stayed in the Villa Salju I must say it was definetly too short. The combination about culture, beach and lifestyle is perfect on Bali.
Hope to have the chance to go back there very soon. For such a place I have been searching for a long time as I think heaven must be like this.

Villa Salju at Brawa, Canggu, Bali

We were one of the first to stay at Villa Salju in June 2009. Far enough out from the madding crowds to be a peaceful haven but close enough for shopping and dinner in Laksmana. Having Putu and the private car was definately an added bonus. Just down the road from Desa Seni yoga retreat and organic food restaurant where we spent many happy hours around the salt water pool dining on superb organic healthy lunches. The Canggu Deli just around the corner was great and the kitchen at Salju deserved to be used, it's a goodie! Tari, the maid prepared our breakfasts every day, including her day off! and she really, really needs a seperate laundry and drying racks and on the downside the pool is chlorine, not salt, but hey I'm a naturopath. I'm healthy and critical! And more sun loungers please Susan! but apart from that Susan offers a great family villa with plenty of space, close to Brawa beach which is ok - hey, Bali does not boast the best beaches!
