Enjoy the call of the loons from our comfortable, new, fully equipped log home overlooking crystal clear, Slim Lake near Hayward. Hard to find privacy, wooded 200 feet of lake frontage 2 1/2 hours from the Twin Cities. Two levels plus a third level sleeping loft and separate guest quarters with bath provide elbow room for large groups. 2400 sq. ft. of living space plus the deck with umbrella table and grill and eat-in screened porch. Full kitchen, dining room with expandable table (to 8'), comfortable living room with stone/gas fireplace and leather sofa and chair. We have 3 bedrooms with queen-sized log beds, one bedroom with log twin beds and a loft with two twin beds plus two twin mattresses & 3 pull out sofas. Natural knotty pine paneling throughout. Private 40' dock with 14' fishing boat. Sandy bottom. Fish. Float. Golf. Bike. Hike. ATV. Snow mobile. Ski. Wireless Internet. Blu Ray set for Netflix On Demand and dvd/video player.

In other cabin renting experiences, we have never had occasion to not return this deposit in full after our guest departure inspection.

Notes: Our cabin features beautiful knotty pine walls and ceilings, cupboards, closets for a distinct Northwoods feeling. At the same time, the furnishings are complete and tasteful with the amenities of home. Most all rooms have ceiling fans. We have a land line phone (cell coverage is spotty), wireless high speed Internet (DSL) access and a Blu Ray set up for wireless Netflix On Demand (bring your laptop and Netflix account number). A high chair and 2 pack & plays are available. A round oak dining table and chairs on screen porch and an umbrella covered table with chairs on the lakeside deck offer added options for snacks and meals. The fire pit near the lake provides a cozy setting for an evening bonfires and smores. 14' fishing boat with trolling motor is included. Pontoons and other types of boats are available in the area for rent and delivery. 40' private dock has space for another boat.

Sunny skies, fresh crisp air, great fishing and a fantastic lake house all have attributed for pleasant memories with family our week was blessed with. This lake home is one of the cleanest and nicest homes we have ever stayed in. Thank you for the "little extras" and sincereness. We will leave with many wonderful stories of wilderness and joyful times.

For the 20+ years we have been coming to the north woods, I must say this is the best lake that I've ever been on where the fishing has been super, especially when you consider the time of the season (August). We caught fish every time we went out, keeping just enough for a fish fry one evening. Most of them were released back into the lake for future anglers.

This lake home is really a gem!
