The town of Scansano is located 27 km from Grosseto, my house is 3 km from Scansano. The 'Provincia Grosseto' or Maremma is located by the sea. Broad beaches can be found on the one side and the Apennines on the other. One can go skiing in Monte Amiata in winter. Maremma is the cradle of Etruscan culture and features many archaeological diggings. Siena is 75 km away, Florence 120 km, Pisa and Rome each 170 km. All of these cities are easily reached by car or by train.

Additional information about rental rates

  • All surcharges are included in the rental price (electricity, gas, water, television and final cleaning with laundry)
  • I have an olive glade with about 55 trees, which is visible from the terrace. The olives are harvested between the end of October and the beginning of November. They are then pressed in the presses of Scansano. There they are only pressed once (cold pressing). I sell some of the (absolutely excellent) oil at the house. One litre costs € 14.00, a three litre canister costs € 40.00. Please e-mail your interest beforehand.

Nun fahren wir nächste Woche das zweite Mal in Ihr phantastiches Feriendomizil in der Toskana und freuen uns schon wieder auf die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit und den wunderbaren Blick auf das Meer. Wir haben letztes Jahr und das Jahr davor viele Sonnenuntergänge auf der Terasse des "annesso" genossen und unsere gestressten Nerven wieder in ruhige Bahnen gleiten lassen.

Ihr Haus ist sehr gepflegt und liebevoll eingerichtet und gottseidank im Sommer drinnen nie zu heiss, auch nicht auf das Terrasse im Schatten, so dass wir in der Mittagshitze ausgedehnt schlafen oder ruhen konnten. Da das ja die Landbewohner in den umliegenden Höfen alle tun, was es immer muckmäuschenstill. Das haben wir sehr genossen.

Genossen haben wir auch den frischen Fisch von Castiglione und natürlich den bekannten Morellino.

Wir freuen uns schon wieder drauf!

Ein großartiger Urlaub

Wir sind nun leider wieder zurück in Berlin und der Urlaub war viel zu kurz.
Um es kurz zu machen: ES WAR HERRLICH.

Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohlgefühlt. Jeden Morgen unter der Veranda im Schatten gefrühstückt und jeden Abend unter dem Sternenhimmel Pasta und Caprese genossen. Wunderbar. Ein tolles Haus in grandioser Lage.
Wir würden sehr gerne im nächsten Jahr wieder kommen.
Also nochmals, vielen Dank für einen tollen Urlaub.

Toskana Idyll

Das Landhaus, in dem wir nun schon mehrmals Urlaub machten ist ganz nach unserem Geschmack. Das in wunderbarer Alleinlage gelegene Haus ist gut ausgestattet und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das ursprünglich alte Landhaus hat alle modernen Bequemlichkeiten und ist sehr gepflegt. Wir haben auch die Ausdehnung des Grundstücks immer sehr genossen. Die vielen kleinen Naturausflüge im direkten Umkreis des Hauses, der herrliche Blick vom Hügel zum Meer und die herrliche grosse Terrasse, auf der wir viel Zeit verbrachten, sind uns in bleibender Erinnerung. Als wir letztlich einmal im Winter da waren haben wir auch Heizung und Warmwasser sehr genossen.
Wer wie wir die Abgeschiedenheit vom grossen Trubel des Tourismus und die gleichzeitige Möglichkeit schnell am Meer oder an interessanten Natur- und Kulturstätten zu sein zu schätzen weiss, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Einziger kleiner Nachteil: die Zufahrt zum Haus über einen Schotterweg.

nicht sauber

Haus ist ungepflegt und nicht sauber.
Für große Menschen ungeeignet.
Owner's Response: Liebe Mieter oder die es noch werden wollen, mein geliebtes Haus in der wilden Natur der Maremma ist mein ganzer Stolz und wird gehegt und gepflegt, so gut es eben geht mit einsamen Landhäusern. Und meine Haushälterin ist zuverlässig, sie arbeitet im besten Restaurant von Scansano (direkt an der piazza Garribaldi).
Ich war im Juni/Anfang Juli selber in Gaggioli und habe das Haus zuammen mit Freunden und der Haushälterin gründlich sauber gemacht und Teile renovieren lassen. Überzeugen Sie sich selber wie schon viele Freunde und Mieter vorher.
Sind Sie klein oder gross oder riesig ? Mein Haus ist ein altes Bauernhaus, die Eingangstür ist zu niedrig für Hochgewachsene. Aber sie ist alt und schön, und ich möchte sie gerne so lassen. Was meinen Sie dazu ? Die Leute waren früher bekanntlich kleiner, vor allem die Bauern. Sonst kann man sich im Hause frei gewegen.
Noch was : mein Haus ist im Sommer wunderbar kühl, weil es dicke Steinmauern hat. Das hat sich bei der ungewöhnlichen Hitzewelle im Juni in Italien (bis zu 43 °) bei allen möglichen Insekten herumgesprochen. Vielleicht haben wir unsere Killeraufgaben nicht vollständig erfüllt, aber wir waren sehr kampfbereit!! Inzwischen sind wieder normale Temperaturen und alles geht seinen normalen Gang. Hoffentlich kommen die Schildkröten wieder aufs Grundstück, sie sind während der Hitzewelle verschwunden.
