Newly renovated historic house on a hilltop with tree house and play area for kids. Two stops by bus or 15 minutes walk to the Ferry. A dozen cheap restaurants and many food shops on the corner. Verrazano bridge view from the windows, sea view from from the street. A romantic adventure in the middle of New York. Two more floors, 8 more sleeping places, are available for large parties.

Access to Manhattan: Despite fare increases everywhere else, the Staten Island Ferry remains the greatest FREE ride in the world, the most beautiful way to enter New York and view the Statue of Liberty and the downtown skyline. Ferries usually run every half hour, every 15 minutes in rush hour, once an hour on weekend nights and after midnight. They run all night. The ferry terminal is a relaxing 15 minute walk downhill from the house. if you're feeling less energetic on the way back, cabs are available at the terminal for about $5.

my friends and i really enjoyed the place and neighborhood,we liked the decor and felt like it was our own home.
i definitely recommend this place to anybody who's looking to renting a place on staten island

Wonderful house near to NYC

We were the first costumers after the renovation of the house, and although some things - at that time - weren´t quite as we expected, due to the owners´ too optimistic renovation plans, we will highly recommend the place!
It has a perfect position to NYC if you want to have a quiet place to retire to from a long day in roaring NYC. Take the 24 hour service free ferry 25 minutes from south of Manhattan and enjoy the view of the NYC skyline and the Statue of Liberty, take almost any bus from the ferry and walk 3-5 minutes, or just walk for 15 minutes, and you will get to your calm hill top retreat with a lovely private garden and space to chill out indoor and outdoor.
The landlady and landlord are very nice and helpful people and the Victorian house has a friendly atmosphere to anyone who likes it private, spacious and cosy.
And don´t forget to have a tapas meal at the local restaurant - it is excellent and cheap!
