The bedroom has a queen size bed and shares the space with an oversized chair that folds down into a single size sleeper. In next room is a sofa that folds down into a full size bed (smaller than a queen size). Note: this is an open layout with no doors between between the two areas. One block to subway for a half hour ride to NYC or a fifteen minute ride to Coney Island. Or a short bus or subway ride to pubs and restaurants in nearby Park Slope. Close to airports. WIFI

Great place, great neighborhood

My husband and I rented this place because it was 2 subway stops from our son's home. We loved this apartment. The owners were wonderful to work with. They accommodated us from giving us a subway map to stocking food items they thought we might need. The apartment is really very nice, wood floors, comfy bed and it's very roomy. It even has a washer and dryer. The neighborhood is charming; you can see Muslim women in burkas as well as little boys playing outside wearing yarmulkes. We were thrilled when we watched all the kids coming out from school -moms wearing scarfs or beautiful saris picking up their children. There is a grocery store at the end of the block which stocks just about everything you'd need. A little farther down are stores and kiosks selling various items and a vendor who makes fresh falafals and the best rice I've tasted in a long time. We will definitely be back. The apartment allowed us privacy and time away from our kids, but the convenience of being so close. The subway is 1 block away. The owners communicated very well with us and we kept them informed of our itinerary. They were a pleasure to work with.

Great Deal in NY

This is a great deal and very comfortable rental. Quiet neighborhood. Walk around the corner and in a couple of blocks you are eating fresh bagels, stocking up on fresh fruit/vegetables at the green grocers or shopping. Everything in Brooklyn is a 10 minute cab ride from this apartment (zoo, botanical gardens, parks,etc) and a quick walk to the subway takes you anywhere. Safe neighborhood to walk around.

Very clean rental, with all the amenities and spacious. Given how expensive (and tiny) NYC hotels are, this is a fabulous bargin.

Das Apartment in Brooklyn ist absolut zu empfehlen. Die Gastgeber Ellen und Al wohnen unten im Haus, sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung ist groß und sehr liebevoll und vollständig ausgestattet. Wir haben uns in der Wohngegend jederzeit sicher gefühlt. (Auch als wir abends von der subway kamen) Man geht 5 min zur U-Bahn und ist dann in ca. 25 min in Manhattan. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden ein Apartment in New York jederzeit einem Hotel vorziehen.
