This large English basement studio apartment is located in the heart of Capitol Hill offers city living with plenty of international accents. Whether it’s the Moroccan lanterns that cast exotic shadows in the open corridor, or the French coffee and pastries that lure you to the bistro-styled dining area, the French and American owners definitely have the “French touch.” Technically a studio, this 816 sq ft unit feels extremely spacious with its dedicated bedroom, living room, dining area, kitchen, reading nook and bathroom. The queen bed and two (2) twin sofa couches in the living area accommodate up to 4 people comfortably. Wonderful retreat in the DC

Everything was perfect. After being on the go all day, coming home was special.The flat was super clean and looks like the photos. The owners were gems. We were greeted with fresh flowers in the rooms.
Nice fluffy robes, & towels were one of the extras, just like a 4star hotel. We hope to go back and will surely stay here again. I am keeping it on favorites so that I can recommend it to family & friends.
Owner's Response: You both were alot of fun! Glad your enjoyed your stay and that you appreciated all the special touches that we try to provide. Sometimes it's fresh flowers, candles, fruit, cheese or perhaps a bottle of wine. We look forward to seeing you again.

What a Wonderful Find!

What a perfect place to stay! It was super clean with a charming decor and wonderful amenities. The location was great. The neighborhood was safe and picturesque and within walking distance to Union Station, the Capitol and other sights. Carla and Fred made us feel like family not renters and were a great help with transportation and advice. We would highly recommend staying here. What a wonderful find!

Clean, convenient and comfortable

Thank you for making our first trip to D.C. so enjoyable. Penny and I had a blast! The appartment was everything we wanted and more. For us, it was in the perfect location. We were close enough to Union Station to walk there, yet far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet every night. Carla and Frederic were the perfect hosts. They always took the time to answer all of the questions the "tourists" asked. Based on their suggestions, I was able to take a couple hundred great photos. Thanks again for allowing us to spend our vacation in such a great place. We will be back. Oh yeah, I can't wait to see some of your Holga shots.
