This large English basement studio apartment is located in the heart of Capitol Hill offers city living with plenty of international accents. Whether it’s the Moroccan lanterns that cast exotic shadows in the open corridor, or the French coffee and pastries that lure you to the bistro-styled dining area, the French and American owners definitely have the “French touch.” Technically a studio, this 816 sq ft unit feels extremely spacious with its dedicated bedroom, living room, dining area, kitchen, reading nook and bathroom. The queen bed and two (2) twin sofa couches in the living area accommodate up to 4 people comfortably. Thanks for the basket and the great service!!!

Lot's of good things to say, plenty of towels, nice linen on the bed.. everything that you need just to relax and enjoy.

Close to all the major attractions in DC, walking distance (10 blocks or less), supermarkets, coffe shops, some restaurant options and metro.

To improve, have a couple of additional blankets just in case for cold days, trash bags and some more toilet items (shampoo, body cream and bar soap).
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Young Children

We really enjoyed our stay in D.C. at Carla and Fred's home. The space has all of the amenities of home and is updated and nicely decorated. Carla and Fred are wonderful hosts and the location of their home is within walking distance of nice restaurants, the Metro and local attractions. Thank you for sharing your home!!

Thank you Carla and Fred. They made us feel welcome into their home and what a place it was. Nice and comfy!!! Everything you need from a short vacation to longer stays!

The location is great with the Eastern Market metro and Union Station at close walks. (We went after the blizzard and the sidewalk had tons of snow which made it so beautiful to walk)

I know how apprehensive it is to try to find a decent place to stay. Rest assured you are picking the right place with Carla and Fred as hosts. My brothers and I visited for the weekend and could not be any more satisfied with the location, hospitality, and the apartment!

It been a first time that i have rent through homeaway.com which i decided to rent a place for washington d.c. When i found this place and i contact her which she been a wonderful service when i arrive those place from airport which Me and my friend was wowie which she provide the food bracket for late arrival guests, She is much prepare of everything as like towel,etc as like hotel. Look forward to rent those place again when i come back to washington d.c Thumbs up!!
