Pitsidia -Matala:
Pitsidia is a calm but not sleepy place. To the local centre there are only 2 to 5 minutes on foot. You would not need any car, you will find in the
Village Pitsidia all what you need: Minimarkets, Baker's Shop, Restaurants, Souvenir shop, Flying Traders, Horseridefarm, Car- and Bike Rental and so
forth. The wonderful sandy beach Komo is to be reached in approx. 20 minutes on foot. You have a car hire, that I organize to you with pleasure, you can look at excavations near as: Agia Triada, Gortis, Agia Deka, Phaistos and Matala. At strong wind you can find a swimming pool in Pitsidia at the campsite or
also in Kalamaki a neighbouring place. Your Airport should be Heraklion Nikos Katzanzakis it is remote only to hour approx. 1,15 of Pitsidia and you can reach your vacation destination readily with taxi, bus or organised car hire from us.
Sivas:
Is a traditional calm crete village only with approx. 500 inhabitants, the village is remote a place before Pitsidia-Matala and about 5 km from the beach, you need only 5 minutes by car for the sandy beach Komo or Kalamaki. From Sivas you can undertake fantastic excursions through the nature for example into the neighbouring place Pitsidia, Listaros or Kouses. There is a Cafe to supply different possibilities to shop around themselves with all, also bread and wine, in the village 3 good taverns, one of that with playground, and 4 more Kafenion'. You find a very good slaughterhouse also here in Sivas. We also live here in the village and I am very satisfied with 'my' village.
