'The Summit House' is one of a kind private home located in Mount Nebo State Park. Our 4400 square foot home is perched on the mountain's edge 1500 feet above the Arkansas River Valley. Four charming bedrooms all have their own entrance onto a 62 foot deck overlooking the valley, five baths, fully furnished kitchen, covered patio off the 62'x19' great room with a large native stone fireplace, a 38'x19' cathedral ceiling living room and a 20'x24' game room makes this an ideal location for family reunions, weddings, receptions, business retreats, social meetings and club or church retreats. Owner/acclaimed water colorist, Cindy Schanink also teaches watercolor workshops with lodging provided for your group. Sleeping accommodations are two kings, one queen, one double, three day beds with trundles, two double futons, one queen sleeper sofa, five rollaways, and five couches.

Mount Nebo is the only State Park in Arkansas with private homes to live in. There are great trails built in the late 1800s with large stones for walking in the forest and now there are geo cache sites all over for GPS users. This small state park is a hidden jewel for get aways of all kinds. Large Lake Dardanelle has the biggest bass tournament in the state, it is on the Arkansas River.
