This is a beautifully renovated one-bedroom apartment (no sharing). There is a masterful bedroom with a queen-sized bed. In the living room there is a sleeper futon. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom is delightfully sized. This property is located in the border of Bed Study and Williamsburg, the proximity to the subway is not quite 2 blocks. There are city buses going north and south at both ends of the block. There is a city park about 4 blocks away. The block is incident free and we have regular police patrols, because the local precinct is 3 blocks away. We have had a lot of international and national guests who have stayed with us and enjoy the area. By train Manhattan is about 20 mins away, by car downtown Manhattan is about 10 mins away.

My friend and I (two girls on their own) went down to New York for a week trip to look at schools and check out New York. Kay and her husband were excellent hosts and the pictures do not do the apartment justice - it's beautiful. All hand made furniture and wooden finishing. It was recently renovated with brand new appliances - and while there are still a few final touches needed the place is fabulous. There is a subway station a few blocks away that made it easy to get to Manhattan and back everyday. I would definitely go back there in a heartbeat, and would tell anyone who is looking to find a nice place to stay and doesn't mind a bit of a ride to Manhattan then this is place for you!

The neighborhood itself doesn't offer much in the vicinity - it's a part of Brookyln in transition - but it's a great apartment for an extremely reasonable price and easy access to the best New York has to offer.

I stayed here for a week with a friend and we both really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and had been recently renovated. The apartment looked better in reality than in the photos, which is always a pleasant surprise!

The place is about two blocks to the nearest subway station, and it was fairly easy to head into Manhattan from there.

The owners are friendly, accessible, and truly want you to enjoy your stay. I can't wait to go back to New York and I would definitely stay here again!
