First Floor:
The unique design of The Sand Castle offers a ground floor with no steps/stairs (perfect for elderly or small children) that contains a studio, king bedroom and garage/game area. This part of the house has its own entrance and can be closed or opened into rest of house. The studio includes a small kitchen/dining area, sleeper sofa, armoire, TV and DVD player. Designed with a privacy door, it can be used as a sitting room or separate bedroom . The oversized king bedroom also has a large sofa suitable for sleeping. The full bathroom has a shower but no tub (which is difficult for the elderly to step over), and can be accessed via the king bedroom or garage/game area.
The garage/game area which is carpeted, heated and cooled, has a game table, TV and double futon with superior mattress. A privacy screen is provided for those guests that wish to sleep there. The second floor and remaining liiving area is accessed by a door from the garage/game area or via a private entrance.
Second Floor:
The second floor living area is comprised of an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The fully equipped kitchen includes microwave, stove, blender, coffeemaker, refrigerator, etc. The dining table has additional leaves and seating if needed. There is a half bath located off the living area as well as a washer and dryer. The living area includes a TV, DVD player and large L-shaped sofa with sleeper.
Through an adjoining door is a den with sofa and chairs, another TV and DVD player. A full bath adjoins the den. The master bedroom with king bed and ocean view is accessed from the den. The ocean view balcony is also accessed from the den.
Third Floor/Other Amenities:
The third floor has four bedrooms, two full bathrooms and ocean view terrace. Bedroom one has a king bed and beautiful ocean view. Bedrooms two and three have queen beds (one with ocean view) and bedroom four has twin beds. Hear the ocean roar (and sometimes music) from the ocean view deck.
Parking/Other Amenities: Because The Sand Castle can be accessed via the back alley, parking is available on both sides of the house and can accommodate up to 7 vehicles. There are also entrances on both sides of the building. We provide all linen including beach towels as well as beach chairs, beach umbrellas and beach toys for the kids. There is also an outdoor shower and bar-b-que grill for the use of our guests.
