Enter the world of yesterday - an exquisite Victorian house built in 1896 that has been restored to its original splendor, and yet is conveniently modern and energy efficient. The house sits on 1.05 acres of lawn, large maples, evergreens, apple trees, hosta gardens, and a plum tree. When built, it was a farm but now it is a part of the small town of Zumbrota, Minnesota (23 miles north of Rochester, Mn and 70 miles south of Minneapolis). Total square footage of finished space-6000+ sq. ft.

Circle drive. Spacious wooded grounds in rear of house. Large updated kitchen with all modern appliances, butcher block counter tops, maple cupboards and spacious pantry. Outdoor patio area.

Woodwork: Original woodwork with natural trim throughout 1st and 2nd floors-wide fir baseboard with wide grooved trim and target blocks around all doors and windows. Quarter sawn oak woodwork with dental work and oak panels in main entrance and in formal parlor. Elegant oak open staircase with intricate balusters and null posts in main entrance. Detailed fretwork in doorway between dining room and living room. Oak wainscoting in kitchen, mudroom, and laundry.

Doors: Original five panel fir doors with natural finish throughout. Pocket doors between dining room and formal parlor.

My fiance and I had a family get together at this beautiful victorian style home. Our guests so were so amazed at the artwork and all the little details the owner put into making this house unlike any other. I actually have some family members that are thinking about renting this house for future events. We will definitely be back; this experience by far was the best i've ever had..
