This one of a kind, 100-year old Earl Meade designed home offers an updated kitchen, sleeping for 10 in the winter, 12 in the summer, open TV/sleeping loft with futon, an upstairs bath with a clawfoot tub for relaxing, a downstairs bath with a unique walk-in shower, as well as a comfortable dining room, newly refinished hardwood floors, and an adorable front porch (half screened-in and half open)... perfect for relaxing after a fun-filled day. You'll be close to all that makes Northern Michigan wonderful... 5 minute walk to shopping, art galleries, beach, waterfront dining. Just a few minutes in the car takes you to award-winning golf courses and ski resorts, hiking, cross country skiing, fishing, boating, shopping/dining in the historic Gaslight District of nearby Petoskey. Drive the amazingly beautiful Tunnel of Trees, or bike/walk the 23 mile long Little Traverse trailway around Little Traverse Bay... or simply relax.. it's up to you.

    *Additional fees are as follows: 6% MI sales tax, $200.00 cleaning/laundry fee, and $400.00 refundable damage deposit.
    *Minimum one week rental is non-negotiable due to city ordinance
    *Your deposit of 50% is due (along with a copy of our signed contract and a copy of your drivers license) to hold your reservation, with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival
    *We accept check, money order, or credit card (3% additional transaction fee applies with credit card). Please make check or money order payable to: Main Street Getaway (contact us via phone or email for mailing address, please)
    *please note, we are a low-allergen home, therefore smoking not allowed indoors, and no pets please!

  • On main floor, we offer 2 bedrooms (1 with double bed, one with bunk beds), upstairs we have an open loft area with a futon (sleeps 2), a bedroom with 2 twins, one with a king, then a small bonus room with a trundle daybed (sleeps 2), however this room is for summer use, as it's hard to heat in winter. Sheets, blankets, etc. provided for each bed (1 set per bed). Also, portable crib and inflatable queen mattress available upon request.
