The apartment is a comfortable, spacious and modern flat. Very well situated, closed to the river and 15 minutes walking away from downtown. This apartment is situated in Leiria, a small town with a beautiful castle. In downtown one can find many nice restaurants and modern bars where people from town used to meet for a drink. Leiria is a tourist town and is surrounded by many other tourist points of interest which makes it a perfect place to stay while one can visit places like Obidos, a beautiful medieval town inside a castle, Fatima, one of the most important religious towns in Europe, Tomar with a Knights Templar' monastery or Coimbra, the town with one of the oldest universities of Europe. Leiria is also very closed to the sea where, in 20 minutes by car, you can arrive to S. Pedro de Moel and enjoy the charm of a beautiful small beach surrounded by a forest of pines.

My favorite restaurants: 'Manel da Quitéria' is one of the oldest restaurants in Leiria, very popular because of the quality of the typical Portuguese cuisine, specially the fish dishes, near downtown square. 'Kardamomo' is a fusion restaurant between Portuguese and Indian food with very friendly atmosphere, good for a different and a challenging dinner. Near downtown square. 'Tia Alice' is an exclusive restaurant in Fatima, one of the best ambassadors of the traditional Portuguese cuisine, with sophisticated decoration and service. Reservation recommended. Closed Sunday’s nights and Mondays. 'A Gare' specialized restaurant in seafood, very good quality food. Open Sunday night, located close Leiria's train station. 'Thomas & Martin' popular Sunday’s brunch. Located in downtown square.
