It is easy to unwind in this special home with its zen-like feel situated on 5 pastoral acres of open meadows, pine, oak and fruit trees, organic gardens and a picturesque old barn. Wonderful, easy country walks from your door abound and hiking is minutes away. Tucked away in a hidden place with such a rural feel, you will be amazed to find what a very short and easy walk it is past beautiful Victorians to the bustling, historic, charming Gold Country downtown of Nevada City. In combination with 'Twin City' Grass Valley, 3 miles away, there is more than an abundance of great restaurants, world class live entertainment, shops, galleries and museums to keep you busy.

Weddings abound in our area from Spring to late Fall. If you are part of the wedding party or a guest coming from out of town, staying in our guest house instead of a hotel will make the event that much more memorable. If you are parents or grandparents with family living here, it is the perfect spot. If you live in San Francisco and want to get away from the fog, it is just a 2 1/2 hour drive. If you just need to get away and relax, now is the right time to come and experience warm summer days and nights. Or, plan ahead now for a Fall getaway. Nevada City is famous for its Fall foliage but you need not leave our property to see trees with spectacular red, orange and yellow leaves all around you. Just bring your suitcase. Everything else is provided to make your stay relaxing and fun.

The Yuba River and Scotts Flat Lake are each only 10 minutes away and the North Shore of Lake Tahoe is an hour. The spectacular Yuba River is perfect for swimming right now and waterskiing on Scotts Flat Lake or kayaking on Lower Scotts Flat or the many small lakes within a 20 minute drive make for a memorable day. If you like outdoor activities, relaxing, eating gourmet food, theater, musical events including classical music festivals that rival San Francisco and shopping in boutiques, and/or sitting quietly reading a book or meditating while watching birds soaring overhead, you will enjoy staying at Honeycomb Ranch while taking in all that Nevada County has to offer.
