New dates available for January. Lovely vintage 1920s townhouse style duplex near Hawthorne and Belmont cafes. Two floors living area, almost 1400 square feet, plus basement w/ washer and dryer. 1 block to bus. 10 minute bike ride to downtown. Hip and groovy neighborhood of vintage homes & progressive people into sustainable living. Please see our calendar or check with us for availability! Beautiful wood floors throughout, tall ceilings and vintage features like natural woodwork. Upstairs is one huge treetop bedroom with two good sized closets and lots of windows & new king bed. Main floor includes a large living room w/ dining area, kitchen, bathroom w/ old fashioned tub and shower, & second bedroom w/ new queen bed. New high efficiency gas furnace. Informal, cozy furnishings and some antiques. Linens and towels and dishes, pots and pans included. Just bring yourself and your clothes and laptop! Cable TV included. Shared wireless in the building.

A walk through the welcoming Buckman neighborhood will take you past myriad vintage homes and lead to popular cafes and shops a few blocks away on Belmont and Hawthorne. The popular Salmon Street Bicycle Boulevard is just 3 blocks away.

One block to Grand Central Bakery or Jam on Hawthorne (a morning and lunch diner with vegan options), four blocks to the fabulous authentic Mexican restaurant, La Calaca Comelona. Ten blocks to the heart of the Hawthorne and Belmont Districts, with your choice of cafes, bookstores, and even a funky movie theater that serves pizza and beer. Fifteen blocks in another direction gets you to New Seasons, Portland's homegrown natural foods store. Ten minutes by bus or bike to downtown, for art galleries, theaters, and museums. You can take your bike on the bus and go almost anywhere you might wish to go from the downtown hub. By car, about 20 minutes from the airport, 5 minutes to downtown. 1.5 hours to the coast and 1 hour to cabins, hiking and skiing on Mt. Hood.
