Our 'Haus am Sodenberg' is situated in a fantastic location on the outskirts of the village of Ochsenthal offering a marvellous view of Morlesau, the valley of the Saale river, and the Rhoen hills. The whole region is a hiker’s paradise, a protected area with rare plants and animals. The premises include a 2000 square meter meadow for sunbathing and playing; there are comfortable deck chairs and garden furniture, a barbecue area, a sandbox and games. The facilities have been awarded the 'Landurlaub' (Country vacation) seal by the German Agricultural Society (DLG) 3 stars. Our childrens' hotel in Morlesau right by the green valley of the Franconian Saale river has also many comforts to offer: a paradise for hikers, cyclists, bikers, and for canoeing. 'Vacation Apartment by the Edge of the Forest' 72 sqm. for 1-5 persons, on the ground floor, separate entrance. Protected open terrace with deck chairs and garden furniture, a swing for the kids. From here you get straight to the 2000 sq.m. meadow for sunbathing and playing and to the barbecue area. Bedroom with a double bed and a couch bed, radio alarm clock. Sitting room with terrace, satellite TV, radio, telephone. Double sleeping couch with a low table and 2 arm chairs. Kitchen fittings. Kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker. Dining area - table and 4 chairs. In the kitchen cupboard you will find all the kitchen utensils, pots and pans, the cutlery - all you need preparing the meals as well as the china and glasses. This room is offering a marvellous view of the valley of the Saale river and the Rhoen hills. If you like you can bring your dog with you. We do not charge for him. You will disturb no neighbour. Notes to the rental rates

• Please ask for a special arrangement for you. 'Vacation Apartment by the Edge of the Forest', non smoking, on the ground floor, 72 sq.m., open terrace, 1 - 5 persons. Daily rate for 1 or 2 persons 48 Euro. 3 extra beds 5 Euro each. No charge for children up to and including the age of six. No extra charge for cleaning of the apartment at the end of your stay. Dogs are welcome (no charge). During the low season we let 10 % staying at least 7 nights = 302 Euro per week for 2 persons. This special rate is not any more to combine with other discounts. -Staying only 1 night we charge for bed and breakfast (Hotel Noeth) 36 € per person. - The prices include bed linen and towels. The beds are done. You can weekly get fresh bed linen and towels. Ask for bath robes. You are allowed to use our washing machine and drier. DLG 'LANDURLAUB' (Country vacation) seal 3 stars. ADAC 'Show your card'. In Hotel Noeth: buffet breakfast 7,50, for children 3 - 5 Euro, restaurant with excellent food.
  
• The beds are done, enjoy the welcome drink. Normally you can arrive at any time. In case departure and arrival of guest will take place at the same day, the apartment will be ready for you about 15 hours. Because it will take me at least 3-4 hours to clean it. Please give us a ring and tell us when you will arrive at our Haus am Sodenberg. In case there is no body in the Haus am Sodenberg, go to the Hotel Nöth in Morlesau (Tel. 09357-479), from there you will get further information. You are welcome! Complimentary use of the heated pool of Hotel Gasthof Nöth in Morlesau (depending on the season). Bicycle and canoe rental. Volleyball, table tennis, large playground for children. Guests may participate in the rich buffet breakfast at a rate of EUR 7.50 for one breakfast, EUR 3 - 5 for a children's breakfast. Menu features regional and seasonal specialties. You should not miss to klime up to the Sodenberg (506 m), offering a wonderful view to the hills of the 'Hohe Rhön', Steigerwald and Spessart. Experience nature and enjoy to stay in the hamlet of Ochsenthal, part of Morlesau, situated at the foot of the legendary Sodenberg hill, there is a little paradise for nature lovers and hikers, for cyclists, bikers, and canoeists. Have a restful holiday by the Fraenkische Saale river in the northern part of Bavaria near Würzburg and Bad Kissingen. Morlesau/Ochsenthal belongs to the town of Hammelburg - situated right in the middle of Germany. So you easily get to all the famous and worth seeing towns of Franconia like: Fulda, Schweinfurt, Bamberg, Coburg, Nürnberg, Erfurt, Weimar, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Bayreuth, Würzburg, Aschaffenburg etc. You also will not miss cultur: concerts, museums etc. I am sure, you will enjoy the excellent food. Even inside our house you feel nature offering a marvellous view over the valley of the Saale river and to the Rhön hills. You will disturb no neighbour and feel absolutely free and happy. Forget the strain of every day life.

Interesting places and things

Franken - in the middle of Germany - is a holiday area with a multitude of charms. Our region is surrounded by the hills of the Bavarian Rhön in the North, the Steigerwald in the East, the Spessart in the West and the Fränkisches Weinland in the south. In each region there are bigger towns and many lovely small places worth seeing. The people are all very kind and helpful. I am sure you will enjoy to stay here. Hammelburg Franconia's oldest wine town. The oldest document in the Bavarian Public Record Office is a note of the gift by Karl the Great in the year 777 a.d. It is written down that the Crown Estate of Hammelburg was handed over to the record Hammelburg is the oldest wine-producing town in Franconia. From 'Schloss Saaleck' which stands high above the baroque monastery and the town you have a wonderful few over the river Saale and the Rhön hills. The small town itself has many cobbled and twisted lanes, the marketplace and the fountain of the early renaissance and more.
