Our wonderful English speaking agent Giuseppe will meet you at the car park or the airport, and escort you to our fully modernized 800 year old apartment just inside the walls. Lovely sitting room / dining room with a convertible sofa bed has laptop, broadband, satellite tv; great views of the Upper Tiber valley and the Appenine mountains beyond. A large tiled bathroom with washer/dryer and modern kitchen are on the same floor; upstairs is the second full bathroom, two double bedrooms and a single bedroom, tastefully furnished. A 4 minute walk down the narrow streets takes you to the town square with coffee & pizza bars, 6 good restaurants and lots of shops for great Italian clothes, shoes. wines and cheeses. There are frequent buses to larger towns like Sansepulchro and Arezzo (with its superb hospital); world class art cities like Florence, Sienna, Assisi and Perugia are within easy driving distance.

The 800 year old medieval walled town of Anghiari is on the borders of Tuscany and Umbria, one of Europe's most colorful countrysides. You can live in an apartment which is part of the old world, with stunning views from the windows. The museums & picture galleries in Florence, Sienna, Perugia, Arrezzo and Sansepulchro are in easy driving distance; the Anghiari music festival in July is just one of many great classical and jazz events. The vineyards are outstanding, and all the local Italians love Americans who liberated them.
