Just step out your door and stroll down the empty white powder sand beach for miles or walk through the mangrove forest to the large dock to relax in a hammock or take a kayak out to explore the gentle waters of the lagoon, teeming with wildlife. From the rooftop sundeck of Casa Lunita, the 360 degree panoramic view of the Boca Paila peninsula will leave you awestruck and provide the perfect spot to watch sunrises and sunsets. These breathtaking vistas create a sense of the property’s location within an enchanting bio-reserve surrounded by verdant forests and bodies of water.
The main house has an open, airy design with high ceilings, tall windows, trimmed in native hardwood and decorated with Mexican folk art. The living area is connected to a circular dining room and gourmet kichen with island and raised breakfast bar. This luxurious space provies the ideal location to gather for morning coffee or your favorite cocktail. Adjacent to the living area is a gracious bedroom with queen bed and adjoining bath with large tiled shower. On the second level, a library that opens onto a balcony has a sofa bed that can accommodate two additional guests. An outdoor circular stairway provides access to the roof sundeck with panoramic vistas. In the Casita, the upper level bedroom has a handcarved king bed with tiled bath with shower and balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. The lower level bedroom has two twin beds, a beautiful armoire and tiled bath with shower. A living room with built-in bar and refrigerator provides a gahering place to play games and socialize.
Just a short drive away are a wide variety of restaurants/bars ranging from Thai cuisine to handmade pasta and wood-fired pizza. Fantastic local fare and fresh seafood is readily available as well as a weekly beach barbeque and salsa party with live music. Just ask for recommendations. Also available to the north are many tour companies, yoga classes, day spas and shops to explore and enjoy . An hour and a half drive through the park will bring you to the isolated fishing settlement of Punta Allen where restaurants and snorkeling, bird watching, and fishing tours are available. For a day off the beach, adventures await at the Mayan ruins of Tulum and Coba, the colonial city of Valladolid and many cenotes and nature parks-- all within driving distance. If shopping is your thing or you want a little time in the crowds, Playa del Carmen and the ferry to Cozumell are easily accessable. The area has a little something for everyone that can be enjoyed from the seclusion of Casa Lunita.
