Mulino di Anqua recently underwent a careful 10 year restoration by the owner/architect. There are 2 Villas on the property - You have the option to rent both villas (sleeps 10) or just Villa Mulino(sleeps 6) at a 30% discount. The villas are lavishly decorated and designed to provide both the comforts of modern life and the warm hospitality of a country villa. There is dinnerware, glassware and serviceware for 18 guests. All water on the property comes from a private well - the water is tested annually for purity and drinkability. The property's reduced electronmagnetic fields are supported by the open circuit wiring throughout. Please no smoking allowed inside the villas. Siena is declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site: Siena is built on seven hills and made up of a winding maze of streets and alleyways enclosed within the old city walls. The Duomo is worth a visit. Other towns in the Siena province are: Monteriggioni - a quaint, walled village. The walls and towers are virtually intact, and the visual effect from a distance is quite astonishing. Volterra, thought by many to be one of Tuscany's best hill towns with a rich array of ruins and architecture from different historical periods and fantastic views over the surrounding countryside. San Gimignano is a small walled medieval hill town. It is mainly famous for its medieval architecture, especially its towers. The town also is known for the locally grown white wine, Vernaccia di San Gimignano.

...and that was in the off-season! I had a short stay at this property in November. Even in the off season it was a delight. The architectural detail and furnishings are absolutely exquisite. The place was spotless and well appointed (linens, kitchen utensils, enough service for entertaining)- I couldn't have wanted for anything. The owner was extremely responsive to all requests and questions.

Even in the off season it was a wonderful retreat-I can only imagine the beauty in the summer. All you hear is the babbling brook on the property. There are secluded little nooks for reading and resting. There are hiking/mountain biking trails out the front gate. The steam and sauna are luxurious ways to unwind after a day of exercise.

This property looks as though it has just been renovated so everything is new and beautiful. The town of Radicondili is adorable and the people are very friendly. La Pergola restaurant is a must for homemade pasta and the thinnest crust pizza on the planet. I can't wait to return!
