The house has space for up to 11 persons. It's divided into two units. The upper apartment has 4 bedrooms, a big living room with kitchen, an open fireplace, a cable-TV, a radio - cassette player and an integrated living room. There are also two bathrooms. The lower apartment sleeps 3. It also has a bathroom with a tub and a shower. It has an open fireplace, a gas stove, a fridge and TV: The whole house has several sitting places outside, a Portuguese stone oven, two barbecues on two different patios and all over the 7500 sq m. huge garden there are a lot of hidden places to relax. There is a big sports field with two soccer goals and volleyball equipment. There is a small swimming pool and lots of fruit trees where you can pick whatever is ripe. The beach is only 7 minutes by car and the next city and shopping centre is about 10 minutes away.

Our holiday home is in 5 minutes distance from Sesimbra, one of the most picturesque fishing towns in Portugal. You can get to the house by taxi, bus or with a car from the airport. The beath is only 5 minutes away by car, and there are several beaches in our surrounding. If you want to go to Lisbon from our house, take the Bus and then the ferry from Cacilhas.

Terrassen, Trockenheit, Traumblick

Im Sommer (Juli 2009) staubt die Anfahrt über den Sandweg... und auch der Garten leidet ein wenig unter der Trockenheit. Das Haus erscheint erst klein, ist aber ein echtes Raumwunder. Toll sind die Terrassen rund ums Haus mit - ganz wichtig - gemauerten Grills für die Sardinen, sowie die vereinzelten Bäume im Garten, die Schatten spenden. Die Kinder haben den 5 x 5 Meter-Pool genossen (hätte gern noch etwas größer sein können). Der Blick über Hügel mit einen Zipfel Meer ist wunderschön. Insgesamt ein Ort, an dem man es mit einem guten Buch lange aushält. Auto ist allerdings ein Muss. Die Strände sind dann nicht weit, ebenso die nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Alfarim. Wir kommen sicher noch mal wieder, dann mit Freunden. Durch die zwei Wohneinheiten und das Dachgeschoss mit eigenem Bad ideal für die Familie plus die, mit denen man gut kann.
PS: Das nette Paar, das sich um die Pflege des Anwesens kümmert, spricht perfekt Portugisisch. Wer die Sprache nicht beherrscht, kommt mit Gesten auch zum Ziel ;)
