An historic area:
Le Sivadal is set in one of the most historically interesting areas of France. As well as the justly famous Cordes sur Ciel there are many of 'les plus beaux villages de France' within a short drive.
Albi has an awe inspiring cathedral and is set overlooking the river Tarn. the adjacent ancient Bishop's Palace houses the Toulouse Lautrec museum.
Toulouse, known as the pink city after the gentle colour of its buildings has many interesting churches, museums and galleries with elegant squares and tempting shops.
Wine tasting and markets:
The house is part of the Gaillac wine region, centered on the local town of that name. There are many local vineyards where you can call for a wine tasting or to buy direct from the producer. Every French town has its weekly market and there is a list of these in the house. Particularly well regarded are the markets in the beautiful towns of St Antonin Nobel Val on the river Aveyron and in Villefranche de Rouergue
Outdoor activities:
Local activities include kayaking on the river Aveyron, golf at Albi or near Gaillac, horseriding biking or walking (using the well marked routes or 'randonees') or visiting gardens such as the Jardin des Paradis in Cordes.
