Cogolin: Within minutes by foot you can reach a couple of restaurants and cafés, all necessary retail - including a big supermarket - and services (like hairdressers, post, doctors etc.). There are also some butchers who offer excellent prepared food and one ‘traiteur’. For your morning croissants there are a couple of bakeries at your disposition and from about 10 h you get your actual daily paper from home. The nice local boule place with the café des sports is just 5 minutes from the house. Twice a week there is market in town.

Tennis etc.: At every time of the year the Massif des Maures offers excellent possibilities for walking plus there is a coastal walk way around the half island of St. Tropez with sometimes spectacular views.

Beaches: The beach the closest by is Port Grimaud which can also be reached very well by bicycle. From there you can also take a ferry to St. Tropez. There are very nice beaches on the half island of St.Tropez (Pampelonne, Gigaro etc.), which can be reached off the beaten track within 20 - 30 min. by car. On the rocky parts of the beaches you will also see some divers. The next Yacht harbour is Port Cogolin, which also offers a sailing school and boats for rent.

Golf: The closest golf corse is Beauvallon, a very nice location with partly seaview (about 8 km, direction Ste. Maxime).
